@@davesgunchannel Dave, is WD40 ok to clean this Rifle? Or dont you suggest It?
@davesgunchannel Жыл бұрын
I have heard of people using WD-40 to clean their guns. I have not tried it but I think it would probably work ok for the cleaning, but not for lubrication. I would also be very careful around any gun sights. Dave

Had this out shooting today, after about 250 rounds it started to misfire. Took it apart, cleaned it and shot some empty brass. The firing pin mark son the casings are MUCH better after the cleaning and oiling. I think the firing pin wasn't moving very well in the bolt, everything was basically dry. Thanks for the video!

Detailed clean ! I thought h had read they don’t recommend disassemble and just wipe down and clean while it’s assembled Iv never take. It apart. Usually clean it up best I can and chamber and rub a snake threw it. Getting ready to give her a clean again Tempted to do this full job.

After how many rounds do you clean the rifle like this? I just picked one of these up last fall. Great video with some great tips. I want to go pick some of wood cotton swabs you had. Great idea!
@davesgunchannel3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question! You probably don’t need to tear it completely apart like this very often but maybe 800 to 1000 rounds or so. I would clean the bore with a bore snake after every time I shoot it and maybe a tiny drop or two of lube on the action.

Another question on this rifle (since you're a very expert): is dry-fire dangerous (i mean for damages on the firing pin)?
@davesgunchannel8 ай бұрын
It is generally NOT advised to dry-fire a rimfire rifle. So please get some dummy rounds for it that indicate they are for dry fire. Try these: Dummy Rounds .22lr: amzn.to/4d0R1bs

Some manufacturers do recommend cleaning the firearm before firing it. I doubt most people actually do that, though! I would consider it, especially if the User Manual suggest it. Dave
