Omg in these really early videos it looks like he's having sex with the music! Combine that with songs like Dirty and....ah now I see why there is only one vid of him performing that...all the rest were banned from KZbin or he suddenly made everyone drop whatever we used to record shows in 2002. Sexuality like that has to gradually taper off with age, but just look at his most recent selfie...oohhhh mmmm

At like 0:11, when he's singing "but straight away you just moved into position again" his nose is all scrunched up like he is really angry and bitter. It's very appropriate for the song and the lyrics he's singing. He's a brilliant performer really. Although those may be real emotions he's feeling there instead of a performance.

I'm really not a fan of the waaaayy too unnatural hair look on him. (Dye it OR straighten it, not both!) Covered up waaay too much of that stunning perfection that he still has today, and omg he does not age if you don't know that already. This is Too Goth Too Much Clothing Darren. I get it considering where the band name came from but that's a whole other discussion that I would LOVE to have...oh The Fangirling We'd Do. Anyway, I just realized if he was 18 when he started all this, and had perfected those moves when his hair went beautifully natural in the era of Spin when I was 18....oh man where's Doc Brown when you need him? I need to sneak into the "Insatiable" video studios and have a serious talk with whoever was responsible for ironing those golden curls until they begged for mercy!

Oops I take that premature comment about his hair back, I hadn't seen that devastating hand through hair move he totally did on purpose to torture screaming teenyboppers worldwide. I'm almost glad I never got to see them live. I didn't even have my first date till well after normal girls do, I don't think my fragile, sheltered self could have physically handled his raw sexuality live, hell if KZbin had existed back then I would never leave my room to attend school or even eat! (Except the occasional licking of my computer screen)

I know, he's beautiful no matter what, the hair just reminds me of how sad he was back then, and I prefer Happy Darren.
