Jeremiah Shafer I'm a little late to the party as i just started really listening to them and darrens solo stuff the last few months. I knew who they were in the late 90s/early 00s but the only 2 songs i heard of theirs were truly madly deeply and i knew i loved u, but i have to say i agree with u. Darren is such a good songwriter, its like poetry put to music. And his voice, omg. So good. Simply amazing. I usually dont like it when guys sing in the higher octaves, but it sooo works for him

Has anyone ever realized how unique the singer's voice sound? I dont think anyone else could make it sound better even if they were to sing the same lyrics. Savage Garden is the only band i ever saw on a concert, it was years ago, maybe 19 or 20 years ago? But i remember, it was a mindblowing show and i will never forget how i madly fell in love with them. I was so excited, i was young, beginning of my twentys and it was my very first concert, i learned every single songtext before, to be sure i can sing every single word...i was so nervous. We have a stand in the first row, bad idea if i think how strong the crowd want to be near the stage, i had difficulties with breathing^^ But the concert was absolutly great, their voices live and directly in front of my nose, the music, the bass, the firework, the costumes....IT WAS SO GOOD!!!!!!! I still remember one of darren's trousers on that evening, a red one, maybe leather or silikon and with many buckles, this look was so sexy! After the concert we waited for a long time near the garage and really, we saw them both again as they leave (it was the E-Werk, Essen, germany), sadly we could only greet from 3 meters afar, but the way home, i was on cloud nr. 7^^ This song is my alltime favorite from all their songs!!! Even after this long time, i still feel a connection and once in a year i "found" them again and stopped by to listen again to their music, to remember the "feel-so-good" - Feeling :)

Break Me Shake Me" I never thought I'd change my opinion again But you moved me in a way that I've never known You moved me in a way that I've never known But straight away you just moved into position again You abused me in a way that I've never known You abused me in a way that I've never known [chorus:] So break me shake me hate me take me over When the madness stops then you will be alone Just break me shake me hate me take me over When the madness stops then you will be alone So you're the kind who deals with the games in the mind Well you confuse me in a way that I've never known You confuse me in a way that I've never known [chorus] She says, "I can help you, but what do you say?" But it's not free baby, you'll have to pay You just keep me contemplating, that your soul is slowly fading God don't you know that I live with a ton of regret? 'Cause I used to move you in a way that you've never known But then I accused you in a way that you've never known But you hurt me in a way that I've never known... Break me shake me hate me take me over When the madness stops then you will be alone So won't you break me shake me hate me take me over When the madness stops then you will be alone Listen, baby You'll be, you'll be alone Break me shake me hate me take me make me Fake me break me shake me hate me take me Break me
