Finally got myself a gobie shad. Road testing in Clare this weekend. Have the big fish moved towards spawning ground yet or are the still sitting more deep? Any advice on this time of year is appreciated. Lake were fishing had big fish but bugged if we can find them so far. 🙂

Hard one go call, in my small lakes I'm getting them shallow but out on the boat I'm still hitting them in 15ft plus My advice, is find the drop offs, I reckon they will be hanging around them

Always hard to call at this time of the year and this lake seems to a hard one to crack as only able to fish it every 6 to 8 weeks to fish with a fishing buddy who lives in cork. Last time the bait fish hadn't shoaled up at all and we're high in the water which was strange for just before Xmas. It's a big lake so yeah will try the drop offs first and see what we find. Either way will just be good to get the boat out. 🙂
