Let me say this. The rifle and you are on target with all the rounds. That's a win for me. Great video and great weapon after firing all those rounds through a hot barrel. I love the action of the straight pull action.

I believe most would agree that almost any rifle will have a "favorite" load. The Remington Match seems to support that. I have a 110 in 30-06 that I had glass bedded, had the barrel re-crowned, put in a thicker recoil lug, and tightened up the headspace slightly. It'll shoot a wider variety of ammo, accurately that is, than most rifles I've worked with over the years. Which is well over 100. Barrel harmonics and a good stock/action fit are the two biggest factors in my experience.

They do have an Impulse Hog Hunter in their lineup. Probably just their straight-pull version of the 110 Hog Hunter. I think Impulse is just what they've named their straight-pull series. I know they've also got the Impulse Predator which also seems fairly similar to the 110 Predator, but straight-pull instead of bolt The impulse variants also seem to have shorter barrels than their bolt action counterparts. Dunno if that applies to the whole impulse range tho

Man, that Impulse is a SHOOTER! The 180 grain Core-Lokt Tipped, in last place, has a little bigger group but is well centered around the point of aim. The last shot is the furthest from point of aim, and it is only an inch or a bit more from point of aim. The sectional density for this bullet is .271, well into sectional density needed for game like elk and moose. With their larger vital areas you could use that rifle/ammunition combo on big game quite effectively. With it's high ballistic coefficient of .480 it carries over 1500 foot pounds of energy till 400 yards, 2000 foot pounds to 225 yards!

Perfect review!!!! Just what ive been suggesting for 6 months to bring your attention to this platform. Now...swap the handle to the left side and fire as fast as you can and check your groups. Perfect rapid fire precision rifle made! So far iam not finding them for under $1000. Once they are....they will be my next top rifle compared to the bergara. Perfect rifle for multiple shots on game like coyote, hogs, prairie dogs, or bad guys. Looks like the mag is also the same as the 110 with capabilities of using high capacity mags. The increased barrel size will not be as effected by heat and follow up rounds.

Another great video! I don’t know if it’s a .308 or a specific rifle thing, but my Steyr Pro Hunter in .308 also shoots a range of weights just as well. 150’s, 165’s, 168’s.. it shoots them all sub MOA. I’m thinking it’s a trait of the .308, because none of the other calibers in my safe are as accepting of such a wide spread of bullet weights. They all seem to have their sweet spot and that’s it.

Outstanding performance, even heavier rounds still managed good group. Great shooting! Accuracy is good but I wonder why engineers decided curved bolt on a straight action. K31 had a straight aligned bolt most air guns do too. Guess it would take some getting used too but I would cut it thread it and place a lug or shorter catch. Still very interesting review, I'm actually in awe and some what baffled.

Turns out the barrel was very poorly machined. Parts of rifling were missing from the factory. Very no uniform rifling. How did it ever leave the factory? Savage wanted to see it, but I chose to rebarrel with a Criterion barrel since I wanted to have barrel threaded and chamber that would accept longer bullets. Wise choice.

This makes me wonder if increased twist rate would have performed better. However, as you said, for deer hunting it performed well.

I played with one of those at a show recently and the coolest thing, for me at least, is it is ambidextrous. The handle can be swapped for us right brain folks. :-) Nice shooting.

when seeing the crosshairs, honestly I would like to see a 2" diameter circle and a 4" diameter circle drawn with a Drafting Compass, so when we see it on camera we can see how large the target area is

Man the more I watch this video the more impressive this savage 308 is. Not many guns shoot this variety of loads this well.

Hard to beat a rifle shooting like that, thanks again for the great videos and other good things you do. Headed over to Heavy Metal and putting the phone on play all, as you said. It’s one thing I can do for Sir Paul. Have a good day WTW FAMILY AND FANS. 🎥👍💯🙏🏻

Hey Adam . 168 gn .308 hollow point match bullets are great at accuracy . I recommend the 163 gn soft point hunting bullets if you want a bullet with better terminal ballistics on game .

I’ve seen and talked to hunters all across this country and coast to coast , Remington ammunition has been highly respected for many years , this show WTW is a testament to that fact , video after video, he puts it in all calibers and all shoot great.

I would like to see you try out a harmonic barrel tuner on the end of one of your rifles that has a threaded barrel.
