@@barone8889 People who are on the dark side of the force don't come back as ghost. Even for Yoda it was a major task to get it done. Savage would never be able to do it, and honestly I think he is not a character who even needs a ghost. His story is told.

@@jonasb104 In Star Wars the Old Republic there are plenty of Sith Ghosts. Savage wasnt an ordinary Force user. The magic the Nightsisters used on him might have been able to prevent him from becoming one with the Force. Personally i wanted him back as a ghost so he could be redeemed. He didnt do anything willingly. The Nightsisters poisoned his mind.

For me, this arc in Season 3 was the turning point of the show. Everything was fairly static until that point, the came this arc: Ventress is cast aside by dooku, and gradually bbecame more and more sympathetic; Savage Oppress was introduced as an inherently tragic antagonist and it opened the door for Maul‘s amazing return, which also ended up causing a lot of damage particularly to the mandalorians. The series suddenly got a forward momentum of change and characters and conflicts became more complex.

Agreed, savage was probably one of the best characters that was only seen in the show, and the return of maul which made sense compared to all of disney's crap was amazing. Best episodes of the show

Dave Filoni just has a great handle on storytelling. I'm a huge Star Wars and Trek fan and contrary to the current popular opinion in fandoms I still really like the new stuff. But while Star Trek tends to go a little more whacky, I feel the people behind Star Wars just manage to still mostly tell gripping and real stories. The Mandalorian is pretty good and feels like a Star Wars Presents comic book in a pretty fun way. Ahsoka is the fifth season of Star Wars Rebels and has some cool mythological winks woven in. The Bad Batch is a gripping story about war veterans when they Are discarded. And of course Andor is just truly uncomfortable to watch in a few places. The High Republic is an amazing story about the golden age of the Jedi that stands firm on its own. And even many of the Stand Alone novels are often really good. And I am not just reading Star Wars books. Even the comics have Aphra, Who is pretty iconic already. Anyway. Those are my two cents. Not all is perfect. Book of Boba Fett was a big question mark of a thing. Obi-WAN was nice but also a bit been there done that. But my biggest criticism is that I feel a lot of Star Wars stories have become inaccessible to people who haven't seen the animated shows. On the other hand anyone who cares can just jump into Strange New Worlds, whether they were born and bread on Star Trek or have never heard of Warp Drive and Vulcans before.

The Savage in this picture looks absolutely massive. If he wasn't a Sith apprentice, he'd be a night club guard or something. His eyes are not senseless rage, but instead, hardcore deadlocked focus. Now THAT is scary. In contrast, the Savage Opress we got in the Clone Wars TV show looked much younger, and due to his age, not necessarily his size, it really doesn't sell the bill that he's of any major threat in terms of a knowledgeable strategist. He's just a wicked crazy brute with tunnel vision. I'm just implying that this Savage looks way more intimidating. And come on, that stare alone looks convinced enough to take on any foe. You got to admit. ;)
