Love that you show its possible to "blank", even with the safest methods and best equipment (blanking for perch that is :D ) Amazing series

Great series. This episode I think it should have been the first one in the series. Explains simple and clear how to use some of the most accessible (price wise) artificial lures on the market.- Great stuff. And since you were asking what I'd like to see next - for me it's TROUT academy. More specific - trout on soft lures. That is what I struggle with ;) PS: also, for every species you cover in the academy series do an episode on how and WHERE to find most fish for a given season. I think that info would be more important then the lures :P. If you don't know where to look for the fish, the lures won't help you much.

I've not done much trout fishing but I think you'd be better off fishing with artificial worms rather than shads for them.

Fantastic series! Really informative and focused on the fishing techniques. As for what to film next - TROUT academy, or possibly something similar to the pike seasons series but for trout would be really useful!

First time trying and blanked but i still loved trying more than hauling out baby carp after carp on the pole, felt like a challenge and im sure it’ll pay off eventually if i keep at it with this quality content and practice so thank you

Great video. Particularly liked the rigging and explaining the need to get tails moving in the drop. Great actions on the lures.
Really good series well done , not enough how to stuff from manufacturers these days

Awesome series mate. I've learnt heaps from you and I'll pass on the knowledge. I live in South Australia where redfin perch are an introduced species and we are encouraged to take as many fish as possible. I'm looking forward to a kayak trip on one of the local reservoirs to use your tips and bag a few redfin. Come on down to south Australia if you get a chance, the fishing is great.

My favourite perch lures are SG craft cannibal paddletail 4 grams (fire tiger) and SG 3D minnow vib blade 8,5 grams (gold pink). 😉👍🎣🎣🎣

so nice videos, so many technics shown it's amazing, especially for feeder fishermen getting in spin fishing. got me 2 sg4 rods, a short ultra-light, and a slightly longer light action one. thanks for the academy and I hope you will make more videos for other species of savage predators. one tip or request, it would be awesome if you could give a short list of what gear you are using, how thick of a braid, what size of a reel, what action rod you are using, etc. thanks, and can't wait for more videos.

Fantastic series! Looking forward to more of this acadamy stuff. Why not make one for total newbies, just tying a knot is hard when you never done it, and what diffrent kinds of setups you can use for diffrent kind of fish etc.

I really like your videos. I’ve been researching perch techniques and tackle, and these videos are exactly what I’ve been looking for. Is a 4.5 inch paddle tail too big for yellow perch? It looked like you were using something at least that long in your jigging video, but I’m not sure if I can tell the size from the video. Thanks.

Zander and Walleye are not the same fish, I used to think that they are but they're not, very similar but zander are invasive in America.
