I know this video is old, but it’s a SavageGeese video so a must-watch lol. I actually took my ‘21 IS 350 in for its 10k miles service the other day and they gave me a RX350 loaner…. I have to admit…I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by it! It literally felt like my IS but in SUV form and that transmission smoothness was fucking INSANE!! It was SOO goddamn smooth yet sporty. Literally the perfect sport utility vehicle! It captures that description PERFECTLY! After only a year of having my IS350, I called Lexus today to talk about swapping out my IS for a RX. I was that impressed with the RX! I got the IS to spoil myself but it is cramped…. I’m going on 34 and I work a physical job. I think the RX is a perfect fit for me!

I have both. A 2019 Lexus IS350 F-Sport Package 3 and a 2017 RX350 F-Sport Package 3. The RX replaced my older 2014 RX450h that got hail damaged. I was blown away by the 2017 RX350 F-Sport where it feels much more high quality than my IS350 despite being older and having more miles on it. Everything feels so solid and high quality.

I just had my RX350 F-Sport delivered last Friday and I'm loving it. I had a RX270 for 3 years and I wanted something more powerful this time. I have test driven X5, GLE350 before I made a decision to go with the new RX. To be honest it was the new F-Sport look that caught me (I'm 31 and I bought the white one just like the poster, I don't think the styling will "only appeal to the younger generation"), and all those new technologies that Lexus has put in (especially the new tri-LED headlights, they accually sense corners and adjust accordingly when you turn, hard to explain but amazingly handy). In Australia the F-Sport model is pretty much top of the range (tri-LED, HUD, 360 camera views, blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, touch free rear gate open and panaromic moon roof are all standard), the only difference between the F-Sport and Sports Luxury (the highest tier) is missing the heated and power-folding backseats, which for me are useless since I don't usually have anyone sit in the back or carry a lot of cargo. I loved the drive and power of the X5, but with the same options X5 costs more than $25K here in AU than the RX, and as a face lift of ML, GLE is just out of competition. The more I drive the new RX the more I love it, the steering may be a bit of soft or inresponsive but as a city driver, I can live with it. It may not be as powerful as the X5 30d but I guess no one buys a RX to expect it to be a performance car, 7.5 sec 0-100km/h, I have no complaint. The 12.5' screen is insane and my friend (who drives a 2016 Merc) calls it "illegal". LOL~ I guess the new design will not satisfy everyone, but as a previous generation RX owner, I love it, and I chose it over all the other competitors any day. Well done Lexus, from Down Under!

@@degoek I’m not sure about the RX but the f sport models generally do ride slightly more firm, but it’s mostly due to the bigger wheels than anything else, swap down an inch to the standard wheels and it will be almost unnoticeable

This is a seriously good review. Just outstanding and way above average KZbin reviews where reviewers try to be TV hosts or entertainers... and honestly, many of them are not car guys. That grill means business Lexus doesn't care about pleasing everyone anymore. The Fsport trim definitely looks better then the standard.

They have a good recipe and as a Lexus owner myself, I feel as though they have somehow managed to surpass many other luxury brands in terms of producing a product that caters to the needs of individuals who buy their vehicles in each segment. Good job, great review. Keep it up. By far my favorite automotive review channel.

I recently purchased the RX 350 (not the f sport) I would have never looked into buying a RX 350 before this generation...I've looked & looked at many different vehicles for a purchase for at least a year, & this one has everything I was looking for! All the other SUVs had something here & there that I didn't like about them, but honestly, I can't really find anything to complain about this lexus (even after a month). I put this thing in sport mode half the time, so the gas mileage is sucking (so that's my own fault). Either you love the exterior or hate it, I've seen a lot of haters & a lot of lovers, so to each his own. Anyway, I really wanted a sporty car, but being a mom of 2, I need the space of an SUV & this is like a sporty jacked up car. Everything about the interior is perfect & the exterior is aggressive & stylish. Love all of my upgrades that I've added, they are totally worth the splurge. Great review, thank you!

My gf and I JUST went to the Washington International Auto Show the other weekend, and we had a discussion about this car and Lexus in general. I like the way Lexus is going with design, they look meaner, drive more aggressively than before, while keep that Lexus dependability, while she isn't a big fan of the styling. After sitting and looking through the Lexus show (RC-F, IS350, NX200, RX350, and the LX450), my GF came away with the same conclusion as Scott: The front bumper is crazy and looks a but goofy EXCEPT the RX350 F-Sport and the LX450, both where the grill is fullbore. She even said "it looks almost half-assed" on some of the "regular" models. She also stated that best car we sat in was the RX350, so at least they got that right, in her eyes.
@savagegeese8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that feedback. I told my Lexus rep this. Don't you get tired of people talking about your cars and having to hear about the grill in every conversation? Thats a problem when it becomes a distraction. Why did she like the new RX best, looks aside? Also which did you like best?

I was shocked, he must not have had to do brake lines that day.

Front bumper/grill looks like a vacuum cleaner....same with all Lexus now-a-days. For me, the 2014 Toyota 4Runner front end/grill was the most thought-through design that won't look dated 20yrs from now. It reminds me of an Omega Seamaster for some reason. I just wish they went with that design philosophy. The current era will look dated 7yrs from now and those grills will be trashed in the 2nd hand market where the previous generations you could hardly tell if it was a 2006 or 2015. Yes it may have been more boring, but at least it was a design that stood the test of time.

Are the F-sport seats a bit too firm and tight vs the regular non-sport seats? How do people view the comfort of F-sport vs non F-sport? Thanks.

My recently departed father just leased one 9 months ago. We’ll see about lease termination, but as a result of your review I’ll make sure my and his insurance will cover me for a few weeks to try it out. Normally I drive fully depreciated Porsche sports cars and Jaguar sedans, so any SUV feels so strange for its height and weight.

I'll be glad when they get that road finished. They been working on it for years now, it seems.

Whoa, any chance you're able to tell us what that orchestral intro track is in the first minute of this video?!

That little storage bin seems tailor-made for Glock 42 with factory 6-rounder.
