The second business idea about luggage is a thing in Latvia, Riga and I would guess many places too. You can leave your bags there, they weigh them and calculate the price based on the weight and how long it stays there. It's at a big bus station, people just leave their bags there and walk around the city, even locals, not travellers.

With drones, it's primarily for photography it's also around a $5000 buy in if you factor in the $2000 drone, the licensing, the testing (yes, that's a thing), and the insurance in case of unpredictable things (wind, neighbors playing catch, etc)

I think the clothes one was talking about buying look-alike fabric and getting someone to sew it like the items the people would request but most people who are tailors already have enough work. Also people who want fake-branded clothes are probably the same people who throw fits and want to return/dispute charges all the time. :)

Left luggage isn’t super attractive here in the US, but was DEFINITELY a thing when I was in Europe. I had 4-5 hrs between checking out from my hostel and going to the airport in Rome so I was killing time seeing one more museum and grabbing lunch, but I didn’t want to leave my luggage all the way at my hostel. I checked at left luggage at a place close to Termini station, enjoyed my morning/afternoon, grabbed my bags and went to the airport.

Great video! I've used luggage storage services in Paris after study abroad when I wanted to leave my luggage to travel to other countries for the summer in between semesters and leases. I paid a 100 euro base fee for 2 months and then couldn't make it back in time and had to pay late fees for 10 euros each day after (2 weeks). I've also used luggage storage lockers at train stations for day trips after I've checked out of a hotel and switched cities and did not want to go back to my hotel to pick up luggage. It can be a profitable business in tourist destinations and large cities where people don't use cars to travel.

I live in Mexico, while there are some public restrooms (gas stations, public parks, beaches, government hospitals) they are mostly really nasty or just plain abandoned especially in the rural areas. The only decent public restrooms are those in highly touristic zones. Other restrooms such as airports, restaurants (not all restaurants), private parks, do charge or they'll have an attendant that asks for tips. I would only imagine the rating system to be useful being offered as a service to help government agencies keep track, schedule maintenance/repairs, or cleaning. You could even offer these as add on services so they don't have to worry about it.

I’ve actually used luggage storage services several times! They come in handy when you have a long layover that isn’t long enough to book a night at a hotel. That way you, can leave the airport and explore the city for a few hours without having to worry about your luggage (+ airports in the US don’t have luggage storage services within them, it’s some kind of post 9/11 rule)

The nearest bathroom idea might be especially profitable right now with many businesses not allowing the public to use their bathrooms. As a delivery driver right now I would consider using something like this. Also if it isn't based in the US a lot of places do charge for bathrooms in Europe for example. Given different areas too their might not be any "public bathrooms" around either...

Basically there is too many people for any one operator to keep them clean let alone porta potty rentals. I give them free paper, soap, and towels & the occasional lotion and I put candles to clear the smell. I forgot to add all of that. This pandemic made me raise my price to 50¢ per person though ☹️ people do pay though!

Drones are a very big headache..you need a license and the laws about where you can fly them and such are so ridiculous. Actually the public toilet idea would be great for ride share drivers and cab drivers in big cities. They'd even pay for it. But one can make income from ads on the app. "Public restrooms" are not necessarily meant for public but for only for patrons of that business. And its frowned upon by the facilities.

The toilet system might work in many other countries you have to pay to go to the bathroom. They even share you the quality of the bathroom and you have to pay a certain amount of toilet paper to use. Yes, people make a business charging people to use the toilet like porter potties. It might be useful for people who are travelers or homeless. FYI
@MacySavannah
