Leslie's case in my opinion is the most fascinating. The piano is an extension of his mind, not an instrument he plays. Clearly, for him, playing the piano is just as fundamental as walking or breathing is to the rest of us. Michael Duran : ME! This is September 20, 2019 at 4:25 PM Central Time! This was such a wonderful piece. It makes me wonder how different the world would be if you took every savant and were able to open that part of the brain in EVERY HUMAN on Earth! WOW!!! My father is a genius and is also a musical savant. He can listen to any song (even from the wild 80’s!) and play back the guitar part of the song perfectly! He can play an electric guitar and a regular, non-electric guitar. He is a really smart guy who never really leaves the house (unless he was going to work...) and is not very social. He is now in his mid 60’s and can barely function because he became a severe alcoholic and hurt his brain. He has had three strokes and can barely move his body. He has been sober for about 8 years, right after his first stroke...

Steven Ryburn I know Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and the savior of all. But...if I wasn’t aware of that previously, it would be greatly evident to me through Alonzo saying God made him smart. Scientists say they don’t know how it’s possible, but strangely they fail to consider the opinion of the individual experiencing said “phenomenon”. When the pianist’s mother was speaking, she mentioned that the compartment of the brain that produces music was separate from the rest of his brain that was damaged, so he could, quote, “Have some sort of talent. And he got it!”. I find it extremely difficult to believe that is by coincidence and not designed by a loving, merciful God that brought good out of a debilitating condition presented to the world through original sin. The simplest of answers, “God made me smart.”, from Alonzo, along with the mother’s testimony about her son’s ability to play the piano, are both profound in their explanation to the “unexplainable”. Jesus is the truth, the way, and the life...no one comes to the Father but by Him. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@HajiStaxGaming5 жыл бұрын
Steven Ryburn My pleasure! That comment, “God uses broken vessels.”, is absolutely incredible. That should hit every hard on a deep and personal level. We ALL sin and fall short of the glory of God. That’s why we need Jesus. I, too, had a huge problem with addiction, as well as, gang activity, selling drugs, making self glorifying music, having sex with countless women...and God saved me. He reached out and showed me, when I thought nobody could save me from my wretched flesh, that He could through the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. I’m sorry you’re very sick, and have been dealing with such addiction. I’m glad you’re seeing that the Lord can do all things. He works all things for good for those that love Him. I praise God every day that He saved me, and I beg Him to hold His hand on me and keep me by not allowing me to fall away from Him. I pray every day that He saves me. Our walk with Christ is ever progressive and as long as we keep faith in and glorify God, then we’re always on the right track. Stay positive, as God is using you for something great! In the Bible, Stephen is stoned to death and asks God not to lay that sin to their charge...present at the death of Stephen was Saul (later to become Paul). God uses us even in our final breathe, and many times we don’t see who God has touched through us. The Bible, also, states that in the end times all things will be revealed...and we will FINALLY get to understand and comprehend more what the absolute Greatness of God really is. Keep praying to God in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ, and stay strong my brother.

@Sally Landrith Face facts. His chances of having a relationship with a grown woman are slim to none, if he has the mentality of a child. No one, especially not I, has determined he doesn't deserve love, but I would be highly suspicious of a "'woman" targeting him for a mate. He has to be loved and cared for as the beautiful person he is. Not everyone on earth gets to have a mate. It is what it is.

This is a beautiful thing! My brother is Autistic savant, and was always taken care of by my Mom. My Mom died last year and now I have the greatest gift of taking care of him. I was never able to descibe my brother to people until Rain Man came out back in the day. My son is also Autistic, and its a double blessing for me. I thank God everyday for them. I learn so much from them. Patience, joy, they keep me humble, human kindness! Its not easy some days, but life itself is not easy anyway. We were never promised a rose garden, as mama used to say, although I feel like I have 2 of the most BEAUTIFUL of roses♥️

Each person here with their talents and personalities displayed such a level of kindness and humility with a this is what I do no big deal , no bragging . This deeply touch me as well as many others , Alonzo stated that God show him how , it was simple direct answer because it was true . Maybe we need to stop and really look around us , at each other an be as reals the 3 individuals . I found this to be inspirational as well as spiritual . Peace Out .
