These guys have to be one of the greatest bands to come out of the 80's rock era that never cot the fame and notoriety they deserved. I am 47 and their music takes me back to my youth. Luckily I found out about them almost 20yrs ago.

imho, Savatage are alongwith Death the most intense, emotional, touching, incredible band heavy metal ever gave us. Both of them simply speak to the soul. No other band can actually do it.

On the album "Edge of thorns" Zak Stevens is the singer! Jon Oliva played only the keys. He was the singer on the previous albums. So the original version of "All that I bleed" was sung by Zak as in this video.

I have covered this song often on karaoke I did covered this song on karaoke and did a tribute to my late grandmother aurora who recently passed away in 2013 at age 80 I think of my grandmother alot when I hear this song and covered it on karaoke 🎤 did a beautiful tribute to my grandmother to honor her legacy such an amazing performance Savatage ballads are awesome especially on karaoke I’m a karaoke hard rock singer myself I do alot of tribute cover songs often to honor my loved ones including my late grandmother, my cat moe my birds fito and Denise as well awesome video ever sending love to my late loved ones I held so close to my heart my grandmother, my cat moe and my pet cockatiel birds Denise and fito I love you and miss you fly to the angels 👼

I love Alex Skolnick, and since they only did a few dates for this album, I'm assuming he pretty much improvised on a lot of the solos on this show, but I really wish he would have stuck with Criss's leads.

@sopoman04 AGAIN, a lot of piano songs uses this scales, X-Japan weren't the first users of that tunes...One thing it's copying another thing it's influences. I could then say that Iron Maiden's "Two Minutes to Midnight" copied Mercyful Fate's "Curse of the Pharaos." or Venom's "Welcome to Hell"...A lot of songs will have some kind of similaritties with others.
