I don’t keep bream either, I was always told as a young fulla there not worth it unless you catch a handful of sea bream, but as I get older a feed of bream every now and then isn’t as bad as it’s made out to be, legend starlo you never fail at making it look like the easiest thing in the world

That gave me a pleasant nostalgia of "Chicken scratching" the weed and barnacles with those galvanized steel bolt on cleats and catching big Luderick and Rock Blackfish from the ocean. I swear I tripped more times going back to the car than I ever did on the Rocks 😅

Hi Steve. Thanks for sharing the session. Bream from the ocean are delicious. I got some shoe spikes in my Christmas stocking this year, so I'm heading down the Great Ocean Road to look for some Luderick next week. All the best. MP

Yes, I'll be using bait on one hook and fishbites on the other. I have had good success with Luderick on the fishbites.

We used to fish the ledges on the central coast NSW a lot. My old mate swore on using 8-10lb mono on fairly light spin gear while i was carting my elephant gun outfits around. Took about 3 sessions watching him get multiple hookups and more than his share of good pigs landed. I've been fishing that way ever since chasing bream and black drummer and swear by it now! You will get embarrassed on occasion though, but the constant action fishing more finesse makes up for it easily.

Where do I find the sunglasses you advised were good for fishing. . Are there different types for beach rock of deep sea.
@StarloGetsReelКүн бұрын
@@garryyannakis MAKO Eyewear. There are different lens tints. Greys and blues are good offshore but I like browns, coppers, yellows, greens etc for inshore, estuary and freshwater. Try a few on and see which you prefer. It’s a fairly personal choice. 👍

Here's a cut-and-paste from the video description: GEAR USED: Starlo was running a 3000-size Shimano Stradic reel spooled with 10 pound Kairiki braid on a 10 foot Shimano Dialuna rod. He used a rod-length leader of 16 pound Ocea FC fluorocarbon.

Ahh rock fishing, never forget the night i stepped onto a black rock on the Tweed river rock wall one night chasing big Jew back in the 80s, that black rock turned out to be a hole between rocks, still have the scars , and same here, never keep Bream.
