Hi folks, I was one of the people invited to participate in this project, and got to know Rachel and some of the others a little through meetings, leading up to its purchase. Although I opted out, I just want to say that I do believe these are really good people with good intentions, who care deeply about the land and ecology. There was never ever any intention to commoditise the land. Far from it. I feel sad reading all these divisive comments as I can see how everybody here loves the land. I really hope you can put aside all your anger and come together in the spirit of peace to find a way through this so you can all carry on enjoying this beautiful land ❤️🌿🌸

Blessed and ‘heaven sent’ is more appropriate… This land was not up for public sale and simply could not have manifested for us in the magical way that it did unless we were destined to become the new custodians of it. You make it seem that the ‘Phoenix Rose’ is some shadowy offshore entity! In truth, we’re just 5 female friends ~ at the heart of a larger group who pooled resources to purchase the land. (If it was so precious to you all why did you not pool your resources and acquire it instead of us? You were given the opportunity!) Rachel

My videos always celebrate the beauty and magic of Cressbrook Dale. We have no issue with everyone enjoying the Dale too via the public footpaths and ‘right to roam’ grassland. It’s when our property is stolen/vandalised and there is trespass into the private areas that we have an issue. Our rights as owners of this land are being completely disrespected. How would you like it if we came into your gardens and did the same? (Or filmed over the wall…) Cressbrook Village is supposed to be a Conservation Area yet unsightly, ugly modern abominations abound throughout. Attend to your own mess before criticising us! Rachel

BREAKING NEWS!! Planning permission granted for new Industrial Estate, to be called the 'Cressbrook International Industrial Park'. A spokesman for the developer said, 'we're very happy that we've already got our first tenant signed up, Toyota will be moving their UK operations to the new site, bringing with it 3,000 jobs to the area'.
@RachelElnaughLOVE
@RachelElnaughLOVE Жыл бұрын
The sad irony is that a big (WEF member) corporate organization would undoubtedly be able to push through planning permission if the development was aligned to the 6uild 6ack 6etter MasterPlan !!! Hence the line of Openreach Telegraph poles (bringing in high speed broadband) which recently appeared right across the top of Monsal Dale ~ while locals were fussing about our innocent little steps. Or the Severn Trent Water Sewage monstrosity which sits in our land. How on earth did they get planning permission for that??? And we’d undoubtedly get ‘permission from the Authorities’ for a huge 5G mast atop of Cressbrook Dale (like at Stanton Moor) Rachel x

Great video, congratulations to all involved in its production. However, it does not capture the true beauty and uniqueness of this dale. This is not a criticism; no film production could ever hope to do so. The dale has to be experienced first hand. You have to move through it to appreciate its very special beauty. I played there as a child, exploring its many nooks and crannies. You can sit for a while, and absorb your surroundings, but you know your presence is an intrusion on one of Derbyshire’s last wild sanctuaries of nature. You can only be a visitor. When you check the tyre pressures on your car, you change the original tyre pressure. When scientists look at sub-atomic particles, they change their behaviour. The same is true in the dale. The dale cannot sustain a community of escapees from the real world. If anyone is thinking of investing in this ideology, you will be destroying the very thing you desire.

I seem to recall reading that the first founder of Cressbrook was a ‘gentleman distiller’ who planted peppermint, lavender and other herbs in the forest… I wonder if he attracted similar outrage from the ‘locals’ of the time? 🧐 Rachel

We went one better than that ~ and invited the local community to join us on the land at the beautiful limestone reservoir which we restored in Cressbrook Dale (several hundred years old and completely overgrown ~ no one knew it was there until we cleared it out). Unfortunately this meeting did not go well straight off the bat (one man stormed off when I said I’d like to open the meeting with a prayer… “I haven’t come here to listen to prayers!”) We have come to the conclusion (after 7 months of this nonsense) that trying to appease the locals is like trying to stop an abuser harming you. Time for strong boundaries ~ and to get on with our life without further harassment.
