We need more Darkwing Duck in our lives again. We need more comics of him and a new Tv series of him and a #DarkwingDuckMovie from #WaltDsneyAnimationStudios so let bring back our superhero Duck, he deserves more recognition #SaveDarkwing

Well he's back in the current comic book series, but unless it sells more it's going to go bye bye. Darkwing won't return to TV unless the comic book does well. There are people in Disney who do not believe that Darkwing is profitable anymore. That there's no large fan base for him. So they are testing the waters with the current comic book series. That's why it needs to do well, or no more Darkwing.

I know, i'm really glad i'm gonna get some #DarkwingDuck comics for my birthday, & ur right the comics do look & feel like an episode. I support this all the way in fact we fans should do a petition for #DarkwingDuck maybe that will help #SaveDarkwing

@@DWOMT hello from 3 years later, good news. A Darkwing Duck reboot is in the works, and he’s made multiple appearances in the new Ducktales.

Darkwing Duck needs to stay, because this is the show that saved Disney in The 1991-92 season after the fact that they got their backsides handed to them by Warner Brothers' Tiny Toon Adventures back in The 1990-91 season.

Hey now, Tiny Toons was great, but so was Talespin, which was released the same year.

I really hope they find a way to keep the series going. I love the comic series thus far. It's really good and I will definitely keep buying them if they keep making them.

I would like to order but I almost have to pay the same amount for shipping (dont live in the USA). Why isnt it possible to buy a digital version. Main problem is that I didnt know that there was a new DW series. the facebook page only has 2200 likes, unlike the main darkwing duck facebook page with 580.000 likes.

Yeah you'd be surprised that there are thousands of Darkwing fans who have no idea that this comic exists. The publisher hasn't done a good job marketing it, and Disney doesn't believe that Darkwing has enough of a fan base to bring it back to TV. So they are testing the waters with this comic book, but doing a poor job of marketing it. That's why you see the discrepancy in likes on Facebook. That's why fans are spreading the word to other fans to try and save it. What country are you in? There is a digital version, but seems to release after each physical copy hits store shelves.

Yeah marketing is terrible. I was surprised that Disney decided to make something with DD at all. I always thought they were ashamed for creating DD because it was too violent. Compared with other Disney stuff it is pretty violent (however not as much as gargoyles). I don’t watch modern Disney stuff because you notice a drastic decline of it. Although I found the comic series quite funny there was for example no gunplay with realistic guns. I simply need gunplay and there was a lot in the TV series. But if new Looney tunes or even later episodes of gargoyles banned real guns I don’t except them in DD. That’s also the reason I don’t think that I would be happy about a DD reboot (right now they are creating a Ducktales reboot). Disney would screw up so much, especially the story/history with Gosalyn (if they would ruin that I would go on a rampage). By the way I live in Germany, and we have our own DD stories. Just google for “Lustiges Taschenbuch Darkwing Duck der dunkle Schatten”. I bought it and there were stories not available in English (as far I know). However they have the same problem, lack of violence. Some friends told me that DD was running in German TV a year ago or so but I wasn’t in Germany then for a long time.

I wish it was saved...or continued...why isn't Marvel Comics doing these books? I mean, doesn't Disney own that, now? I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens after his appearance on Ducktales this season.

Interestingly Arron keeps saying Hiatus when he brings this up. Looks like he still wants to keep it going. I have an idea.
