You do a good job! We had a dirt floor and about 8 years in, we got behind and it was too big of a job. We got a little backhoe for our tractor which gets the worst out. Now I can rake the shed every couple of days and mostly keep up. I would love to clear out and level the floor, put stall mats down, and sweep or hose it out like I do the milking stall.

My workplace dairy has the heifers and dry cows on minimal bedding. The cows in milk need more bedding since they drip milk and have wetter poop. With goat "pellet poop" minimal bedding seems to work very well, too. It's a bit different with cows since they have individual beds (free-stall barn, not tied up) and the butt end should get the worst of the wetness. Though our mixed sized herd has some small enough cows who like to lay on the beds the wrong way around and soil the whole bed😮‍💨 The heifers practically have just the thinnest layer of dust on their mats🤣 All the wet &poop get scraped off twice (or once) a day, wet places get a bit thicker layer of sawdust onto them to make for a dry sleeping place. In contrast the cows in milk have abot a half inch to an inch of straw-shavings-sawdust mixture, that gets scraped clean 4-6 times per day. Cows use a wagonload of bedding in about a week. Heifers use 3 wagonloads in a YEAR.

Hey I’m going to do this I’m sick of the deep pile of poop I’ve tried it for about a yr and I hate it. I don’t think it’s good or healthy for my goats. Thank you

What if you did a blood test on Dottie to confirm pregnancy? Have you considered the possibility of in the future getting a (not sure what it's actually called?) Like a trans-vaginal probe for ultrasounds?

I had the same blower and it broke in about 39 days didn’t drop it. Amazon is selling some 💩 stuff out Bought the hoof Bose from them and it broke so I ordered one from the company and they told me a lot of stuff from amazon is used or just plain bad. I’m not ordering from them my final thing I bought from them was a milk machine it’s for cows not goats and I called and asked them was it for goats so now I’m stuck with a 889.00 piece of junk that they won’t take back. I’m trying to find a really good one like yours I know you built it but I hope I find one soon babies due in February 🎉❤

Oh no! I seriously dropped it at least 10 times 😂 Simple Pulse Milk Machines would be my choice if we didn’t build ours 🙂
