I've now made the tuna patty recipe twice! (In fact I ate one for lunch!) I live alone so I get 2 meals from it. Also, besides being economical, it's few in calories, which I count! I use no stick spray in my frying pan to brown them and each patty is only 150 calories! I'm so glad you shared that with us. They are so tasty! I recommend others to try them! Thanks Emmy! 🙂❤

You could make french toast with apple sauce or serve french tost with fried banana and sugar. If money it tight make it fancy. ;) ( I am a big fan of porrige or overnight oats for breakfast) If you buy rice instead of noodles I see the possibility of improvising an asian dish with veggies and peanutsauce on rice. If there is something like milk in the house you can do ricepudding. (If ricepudding seems boring add Cacao for chocolatgoodnees) If you add an egg and backe the ricepudding you can do a sweet casserole. Thats all I can come up with.

The “lentils & rice casserole “ from The Tightwad Gazette is .30-.50 a serving. Dollar Tree: brown rice 2lbs for $1.00, (2) lentils 1lb $1.00, Italian Seasoning $1, Minced Onion $1, Minced Garlic $1. There is enough here to make more 6 recipes plus have leftover rice (1/2lb) and seasonings. The recipe serves 4. Sprinkle with a few ounces of cheese and the .25 a serving is .35-.40 per serving. Add 1lb of carrots for .125 cent more per serving to total .50 cents per serving. This recipe is so yummy.

I live in the midwest. It is crazy how the Aldi prices vary so much from region to region. Some of your Aldi prices are lower and others higher than ours. It is important when eating "cheap" to strive for healthy and not too much processed or health can start to decline be eat having a stomach ache, weight gain, type 2 diabetes etc.

Good job Emmi! I was trying to figure out what I could buy for $10 that would make 4 meals. I live in Hawaii and everything costs an arm and a leg. Hi Emmy and Paul. As soon as I saw your haul, I thought about peanut butter and banana sandwiches - great minds think alike! LOL. This was really a wonderful video with great ideas. Also, with the mixed veggies-- if you don't have oil or butter, just sautee in water or a little homemade broth (from veggie scraps stored in freezer) and that's even less cost. Also good if you don't have any sort of oil on hand at all.
