Halfords which is a approved garage by the AA on this kind of cover . Refuse to take the vehicle and if they do they will make sure the driver waits for weeks.

@@Maz-h8f what happened to you? I've found that you don't need to go to an AA garage. Can go to any garage, all they have to do is call the AA and quote the work before starting.

@@willsvanadventures hi, i did that found out they charge double the labor charge because they have to wait for the money to come through. Halfords manager said , we will do it but our first priority is cash customers or those that pay on the spot thru cash or card . Jus became one big headache so i canceled it.

I've had AA Breakdown cover for many years because I own a 24 year old BMW E38. Over the years they've been brilliant and paid every time when I made claims. Unfortunately, recently coolant leaked from the thermostat sensor into the computer box and damaged the ECU after a leak had developed. The water travelled up the wire. My mechanic misdiagnosed the issue and told AA that it was rain water that had entered the computer box. AA refused to pay😢

There’s a part on the terms and conditions saying if you have traders insurance it doesn’t cover you. did they ask you for proof that you have personal insurance on your vehicle?

Yeah that's true they won't cover you if you're using the vehicle for business use. They've never asked for proof but I don't use mine for business use.

I was wondering is there a cap on the amount they would cover is it market value of the vehicle say if the engines goes and costs 2 3 thousand would they help with that to cover

Yeah so it's up to £535 per claim so if the bill was £3000 they might cover £535 worth of that bill.

did you know that they can decline to help if a part has broken due to wear and tear? lol. have fun throwing your money away.

Yeah, that's just like any insurance, there's always terms and conditions. I've saved a huge amount of money using it, well worth it!

Thanks for the video bro I alrrady have AA, my car wouldnt start so i called AA. They towed it to a garage and when i told the person at the garage im covered by AA and have parts and garage cover he told me he doesnt do AA work? What does that mean and what do i do,do i take tge car back and take it to another garage? Im so confused.

So he's just being lazy. All he needs to do is diagnose the issue, call the AA to put the claim in. Do the work and then you pay like normal. Then he calls the AA pay and they will send you a check in the post for the work. So you get a rebate/refund from the work. If he cba just go to another garage. Any garage can do it. Literally takes them a 5min phone call and they probably make more money as they can put in a higher claim.
