I did this with a 5 gallon water bottle when my son was 2. Started with mostly change and singles. Took almost a 2 years to fill it up. When I did get it filled I went and opened him a savings account with $1973.00. It was at that point I got more serious and aggressive with saving money for my kids. Here it is 2020 he just finished his first year of college debt free. He will be going to school with no student loans.

This really works. The way I do it is with 2 pans that can't be opened unless you cut it. I do Bills 1,5 and 10's in one pan and 20, 50, 100's in the other. I don't save coins though. I work in hospitality so I save all tips made and live off of my wages only.

Smart! Cash Coin has went up in its fees. It’s much better to buy some coin roll wrappers and take your money to the bank. Think about it! You then saved up $300.00 dollars in coins. You take it yo Cash Coin to cash in your coins, but you’re hit with a HUGE FEE, which ends up taking a large sum of what you saved. Yes! Putting your coins in coin roll wrappers is time consuming, but at least you’ll be able to see that extra $25, $50, or $100 dollars that you saved vs it going towards a machine charging you fees for money that took you however long to save.

I always thought to put money into a box that has a padlock. And without giving yourself the code to the padlock, Enter a quarter and it gives you one try at cracking the code to the padlock. And by the time you solve the padlock code, you get to open the box and receive all the money that was inside of the box. What a cool way to save money!
