I have to disagree with you about the book. The book does give good information but a new screenwriter should never read just one book as his/her foundation for screenwriting. They have to study McKee, Vogler, Bare, Truby, and a number of other experts in the field. Study everyone and make your own decisions based on the rules of the trade. Every book supplies a different color in your pallet of resources to pull from. Something with hit a writer and will resonate with that writer. It is just like when your grandfather sits you down and gives you some advice.... you take what you need and leave the rest alone. Write, make your mistakes, establish your process and keep writing until you get it!

I agree with you, actually. That's why I keep my copy and still use it sometimes-just the parts that are helpful to me and that I agree with.

@@Storylosopher Yeah sure when more people pay for a book than watch a free video that says a lot about the value of the material , Save the cat is about creativity and processes , which it provides a general guideline but the creative process varies but this video has no value
