The soon jung whip cleanser is my HOLY GRAIL cleanser. This makes my skin so soft after cleansing, never drying. I have oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. I HIGHLY recommend this cleanser if you have VERY oily skin and honestly if you have dry skin just stay away from foam cleansers. this is a GREAT PRODUCT for me.

My wallet is always shaking when another rec is by you, and also happy that you let us know which ones to avoid. Although I do spend a lot from your recs, it’s all worth it bc they are all hits and HG. My most recent purchases from your recs that have SAVED MY SKIN ARE: heimish all clean green foam, keep cool soothe bamboo tinted, I’m from mugwort essence, missha artemisia Essence, purito centella unscented serum, and etude house 2x barrier cream. THANK YOU KELLY you’ve saved my sensitive/eczema/dry/dehydrated skin.

Thanks for the video, Kelly! I think highlighting products to avoid is equally important to recommendations. Some of the products that I wouldn't recommend are the Good Morning Low PH Cleanser from Cosrx (I never understood the hype, it's just too stripping on my skin), the Barrier Repair Oil from Rovectin (too many essential oils for a product that claims to be hypoallergenic and the scent lingers for many hours), the Centella Green Level Eye Cream (irritating for the sensitive eye area, it's the product that convinced me finally to go essential oils free) and the Oil Free Ultra Moisturising Lotion with Birch Sap from Cosrx (it's neither moisturising or hydrating, it offers a false "hydrated" feeling that disappears after 10 minutes).

To be honest I really like the I'm from eye cream. It is really moisturizing, protecting and the jar is huge, lasts forever. And doesn't trigger my milia. So sorry the Etude House Soon Jung cleanser didn’t work for you because I use it everyday with my other cleanser. I use another hydrating cleanser. I have to agree with you about the By Wishtrend sulfur spot treatment because sulfur never worked for me, ever lol. I was really disappointed in the I’m From Ginseng line because all they did was slap perfume in it. One thing I will say is Cosrx has a lot of products that I love and use daily but they need to come out with a mineral spf that’s fragrance free and doesn’t have a white cast.

I definitely appreciate negative reviews! Agreed that they're more helpful. I actually thought the cosrx green tea sunscreen was decent. I repurchased it once. I enjoyed the tone up effect on me (light Asian skin tone) as well as the scent. But it just became too drying/dehydrating for me. A hyped product that I passionately dislike is the klairs midnight blue calming cream. I put it under my nose during allergy season and it just stung! What's the point of an irritating calming cream?!

Sulfur has done wonders for the times I’ve developed blackheads. I used that beige bar of soap, you know the one 😆, and it helped to slowly remove it without leaving a giant pore in its place. Unfortunately, since it’s soap it kinda went all over my face and it was very irritating on some the more sensitive parts of my face. I’m talking about immediate skin peeling, youch!! Disappointing that the gel isn’t effective. Sulfur is so powerful and if they could perfect the formula they might develop a holy grail item.

Laneige Cream Skin Refiner burns my skin within seconds of application. I'm going through Topical Steroid Withdrawal, so my moisture barrier is extremely damaged and my skin is severely dry and dehydrated. I wanted to love the cream skin refiner and had high hopes that it would help my skin heal by helping to add moisture. I'll keep it and try it every so often to see if the burning stops as my skin heals. Don't think any one has ever complained about it burning them, so I think it's just me. 😢

I am thinking of switching to Soon Jung, since Rovectin doesn't seem to work on my skin (plus I am using prescription Retin-A)... I been using Shiseido Pureness line for almost 10 years, which work wonders for me... but they discontinued the line and replace with something that was too overdrying for my skin... I'm thinking of trying Soon Jung line... and see if that similiar to Shiseido...

One of the best spot treatment for me is COSRX Centella Blemish Cream. It contain zinc too. my experience is a little bit opposite of its name, it works so well with inflammation (active acne, irritation, redness, itchiness, whitehead etc) in matter of hours to maybe 1-2 days, but for blemish/hyperpigmentation not so much (it does help but not as effective compared to inflammation). Your videos make my day. Would love to see what you think of Etude House’s Moistfull Collagen eye cream. My biggest beauty complaint is the dry, crepey skin under my eyes. I stumbled onto this and love it over the Klairs eye butter you recommend.

I have combination skin and I usually tend to have hormonal acne once a month, but I've found out that the spot cream from Pyunkang Yul works wonders for me. In about 2 days the spots are gone, dried out. Love you!

Omg! İ have been having the same prob with the ginseng eye cream but i thought a different product was giving me that chicken skin. now that i see you have had the same problem im sure it is the eye cream. Damn! İt is so expensive in my country that imagine paying 300 $ to find out its not good on your skin. It is so frustrating!

I’ve watched your other I’m From Fig video, but I literally have been using it for 2 weeks and I’m shattered, lol. I love it, but when you said it contains silicones it made sense. It does make my skin smooth, but it was just the silicone. I bought it based off the antioxidant properties. Is there literally any reason to use it?
@KellyDriscoll
@KellyDriscoll 4 жыл бұрын
Ahhh it's such a bummer! If it agrees with your skin I'd say just finish up the bottle (you'll probably still get some antioxidant benefits).

Kelly Driscoll I genuinely think I was fooled into liking it because of the silicone. 🤦🏻‍♀️ That and I love I’m From so I was like, “They can do no wrong.” They did. 😢 Silicone is so misleading!

OMG, Kelly, you have those bumps under your eyes too? You mentioned oil glands? Is that what those are? I did some research and found so many contradictory opinions regarding what it is... My bumps are accompanied by blue-ish/purple-ish skin color I could never get rid of until I started using MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream I believe you recommended (thanks!!), now the color is so much less visible! 😊 Hope you're H&H&S too!

It is always good to get these tips of what to avoid also, for sure!! Specially for brands where other products are good but have an eventual "dud" in the mix. So thank you! =] One I was super excited, I liked it the first time i use it and then it went totally downhill was ROC Minesol - Oil Control - Dry Touch Sunscreen. It does NOT spread across the face, feels like trying to drag a crayon over my skin. What I am doing is spraying some thermal water to help and that actually works well. Which is very sad, because it has a matte effect that is almost like a blur, but without being actually tinted, that I really liked.

A couple of products I had a bad reaction to are: Iunik black snail serum and Pyunkang Yul nutrition cream Both products are fragrance and EO free and look good from an ingredient standpoint, but something in them completely flared up my skin. I have products from both brands I really like eg Iunik beta glucan serum is amazing and the PY toner/essence and intensive cream are excellent for my skin. I'm hypersensitive with both rosacea and eczema, so these products are probably amazing for so many people. There is always the possibility of being irritated by/allergic to any ingredient, no matter if it's amazing for a thousand others. I will give the products in this video a wide berth as if Kelly doesn't like them then I most definately won't. Best wishes.

Personally I like the Fig toner. I see it as I'm from's twist on the cream skin refiner (basically swapping sticky for oily). I mean I am not a fan of these emulsions in general but the Fig toner is the one I prefer among the ones I tried (Cream skin for me is too tacky and Dr. Ceruacle too heavy... the Fig toner sits in the middle and I find it more tolerable). Personal opinion of course.

No you’re not being unfair at all for not liking essential oils! Cause if I had listened to people I wouldn’t have “allergic contact dermatitis” I thought oh fragrances & essential oils are okay cause they’re the last ingredients fast forward 10 years later I have allergic contact dermatitis and if I go near them I’ll be itching alll night long! SO PEOPLE pls avoid them if you can cause it catches up to you even if you say oh my skin is okay with fragrances and essential oils.. YEP that’s for now but give it time or do you really want to test to see if you’ll get allergic contact dermatitis?

The ordinary. The azeleic acid product. Gosh can't get it right on my face. No matter when I put it, how long it stays on I can't get any more layers on top. Everything is rolling after being in contact with this product. Plus it gives that funky silicone feeling on skin. Brrr really dislike this product.

Omg that sulfur gel is getting really bad reviews, I'm so surprised! Sulfur helped me a lot when I was younger. Def agree with the Cosrx sunscreens, they're so bad. My fave sunscreen rn is Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold, I absolutely love it (I recommend it, but it does have alcohol, so if you don't like that, def not for you) 💛

My experience with the sulfur spot treatment was more pronounced than was yours. My nose and forehead had several new and angry breakouts after two days of using it for an existing pimple. Yes it was more like James W's experience, sorry to say. Also, I've not been impressed with the I'm from ginseng line. The mugwort line is calming, slightly hydrating and a better deal, based on my experiences.
