Pretty incredible that the 4350G can keep up with the 3400G when you consider the former only has 6 GPU compute units compared to 11 on the latter.

I plan to test both processors on a regular motherboard soon to see if the mini PC is holding either CPU back, should be in the next few weeks!

For mini pc gaming, i think the K39 itx case is the best choice. I have one with the 5700g and 3.5 in hard drive. The other is ryzen 2600, gtx 1660 single fan, with 2.5 inch hard drive. The specs can be upgraded even further but for 1080p gaming it is sufficient for my needs and no power brick.

Finally I have all the parts to build the X300. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 2400G. The RAM is Kingston KVR26N19D8/16 - 16GB on a single module. Can I buy another one and install it have 232GB RAM? Can the X300 handle it? Will I feel a big difference in performance?
@IcebergTech2 жыл бұрын
1) Yes, it should be fine with a second 16GB module. 2) Yes, you'll notice the difference, but not from the RAM amount. The big deal will be adding a second stick, which means you'll have dual channel memory instead of single. APUs benefit from fast memory, and if you only have a single stick, your 2666 RAM only works at 1333.

Does this case limit a CPU/iGPU performance? would these 2 chips perform better in regular build?
@randomweirdyoutubechannel895511 ай бұрын
There's a slight limit with the 5700g which mostly comes down to the sodimm ram with cl22 timings at 3200mhz compared to cl16 on standard 3200mhz ram

Having all the components to build my first ever DIY PC. The computer is for home use, some random video editing and Photoshop. The CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 2400G. I have Kingston DDR4 RAM 16GB 2666MHz CL 19. Do you think it is better to get 3200MHz or the 2888MHz? As I understand the AMD 2400G maximum RAM is 2999MHz. Will I feel big difference in kind of use? Should I do with the 2666, or 2999 or 3200MHz?
@IcebergTech3 жыл бұрын
If your motherboard supports RAM overclocking, you'll be able to use DDR4-3200. If not, it will only work at a max of 2933. So, if the price is similar, go ahead and get the 3200. As for the difference, it will depend on the game. I tested RAM overclocking in my Ryzen 4350G video and saw between 5% and 40% performance gains going from 3200 to 4000, and would expect a similar difference between 2666 and 3200.
@ronyzmiri3 жыл бұрын
@@IcebergTech Thanks! As for the difference there is no gaming, just some basic video editing once in a while. What then?

@@ronyzmiri I haven't done any productivity testing, I'm afraid. As Ryzen CPUs are generally said to work best with fast RAM I'd assume some performance improvement, but I can't give you an estimate of how much to expect.

KZbin is really stupid sometimes... This type of content is much appreciated, but it's getting buried under a pile of repetitive shit. Also, don't even show how APUs are doing on the x300, stock, without overclocking, it's a waste of time, as long a300 is a thing.. Also, what's the maximum voltage value allowed, for the ram. That's another impossibile to find info...

Whats the monitor you used at 0:45, where can i get one?
@IcebergTech3 жыл бұрын
It's an Eyoyo 8.9" monitor I picked up on eBay for about £100 last year. It's not bad, though it's native resolution of 1920x1200 is a bit weird. Can run off a single USB-C if your device supports it, otherwise it can run off HDMI and can be powered with a regular USB-C to A cable. My version is the basic one, but there's a touchscreen version too.

It will work, but I don't recommend it. Single sticks run at effectively half speed- in your case, 1200 instead of 2400.
