Hi everyone, thanks showing your support to Ah Gek and Ah Choo! To answer some of your queries on why Ah Choo lost her stall, which isn't exactly covered in the video, the stall owner of Ah Choo's previous location wanted to take back the place so she was given the due notice before she eventually moved out. If you are heading down to their stall for the first time, here are some things to note: - As there are two stalls sharing the space, the queue to order might get messy, especially during lunch time. If you are confused about how to queue or where the queue starts, go up to Ah Choo and Ah Gey personally to ask. They will be more than willing to direct you. - Ah Gek's carrot cake (Heng Heng Cooked Food) is usually sold out around noon. Do head down early to avoid disappointment. - When ordering noodles from Ah Choo (Ah Mei Handmade Noodle), remember to state the following: (1) noodles to be soup or dry, (2) for dry noodles, if you want chilli or non-chilli, (3) your egg to be fully cooked or uncooked, and (4) for soup noodles, if you want your soup to be separately packed. Do be patient with the hawkers as they are also learning along the way on how to serve you better!

Heya OGS team! I wonder if you guys have a sticker that these aunties and uncles can put in front of their stall saying like, "Featured on OGS" or "Watch our story on OGS" with a QR code of their interviews. I think that will be a nice way for their stories to reach more people 🥺

Hi Melinda! We've actually recently designed and printed these stickers for our hawker or tradesmen profiles! You should see them popping up around soon, we're trying to distribute them to past profiles as well ☺️

The lady stall owner who shared her stall space is truly nice in person and I am grateful I could hear about their story here. I wondered why the stall had closed even though the noodles were really good. Please support both stalls, you really can't go wrong with either.

The noodles are really nice. From what the auntie told me, I think it's because the stall owner wants to take the place back.

@@loooong0416 Yes it is, the stall owner wanted to take back the place so she was given the due notice before she eventually moved out. She couldn't find a suitable place nearby to continue her business and was considering doing something else until Ah Gey offered to share the space with her. And the rest is history ❤️

How did she lose her stall, that's what I'm wondering. If anything NEA should not be chasing her out of her stall.

Hi there, the stall owner of Ah Choo's previous location wanted to take back the place so she was given the due notice before she eventually moved out. I chose not to focus on telling this part of the story at Ah Choo's request because she was afraid that the situation may be misconstrued by some members of the public. The least we want to do, is to put our profiles in an awkward position. In fact, after spending some time speaking with Ah Choo and Ah Gey, I find that they have such sincere and genuine personalities which I feel should be celebrated and told, all the more, in such depressing times. I hope this answers your question and helps you understand our train of thoughts a little better when we cover stories :) - Pei Fang

@@OGS.Official this now makes a lot of sense, and honestly should have been part of the story telling. Cos now there is a lot of resentment with NEA adding rent.

SFA should investigate subletting of stall space which is illegal. Too many hawker stalls are being sublet and many earn public money by being landlords of government hawker centre stalls. How much cheaper will hawker food be if we strike off the middleman who earns rent from subletting hawker stall?
