Oh for heaven's sake. That's completely subjective. Yes, Zack obsessed over Kelly as an infant, but there are plenty of moments throughout the show where it becomes clear that Kelly fell in love with him just as much. She literally told him "there's no way Paris could ever compete with you." And their College Years moments were very romantic (none of which are in this video, unfortunately)

By today's standards, there's plenty to critique. But, this is not about this day's "standards " and "beliefs." This was a product of the 90s. Many of us grew up watching Saved By The Bell. It's 90s nostalgia all the way and I love it for that. Not sure what to think about the Saved By The Bell for this generation. I guess it's a product of its time too. No matter how "healthy/unhealthy " or "realistic/unrealistic " the show components are/aren't, the show was a popular and much enjoyed sitcom in its own time. And for the most part, though definitely has some questionable content, it was/is a good clean show for the entertainment of our younger selves. Many of today's teen sitcoms cannot claim the same. It was also free of politics and the like. It was made purely for entertainment for kids, preteens, and teens. It has strong nostalgic value for 80s and 90s kids. Many of us have a fond place in our hearts for the characters, plots, and love stories presented.

@@iluvlafferty Exactly!! Its a big part of their story. Yeah the new show kind of forgets about the college years too unfortunately. They focused on the characters and how the were way back in the early seasons of the original show. Maybe because the college years aren't as popular as a whole with fans( Even though they are my favorite)? But I do know they will throw in at least one college years focused scene in season 2 of the new show(by the sneak peaks the cast posted while filming)! Fingers crossed its great!

@@reneeb8840 I'm convinced that they deliberately ignored the College season because one of the reboot writers (Dashiel, I think?) runs the youtube channel called 'Zack Morris is Trash' and he only focused on the high school years. I hate that the Zack and Kelly who we see in the reboot seem so shallow compared to how they werein the College years. They write these two as if they never grew up beyond high school. Kelly's hard work of studying medicine in the College era is completely ignored. Just because Jessie and Lisa weren't in the College season, doesn't mean it isn't canon. Z/K get married because of their College reunion. Also, why did Peacock use a pic of their wedding in the thumbnail of this video if they're not going to show the wedding?

@@iluvlafferty Yes I agree with you!! I don't think it has to do with Dashiel though. He only wrote one episode out of the 10. It's a decision probably made by the showrunner Tracy Wigfield. I think they were going for a more funny take instead of a realistic take of where they would be now unfortunately. It's more in step with the Jimmy Fallon skit. Most longtime fans agree they wanted more of a realistic take on the originals and where they would be now. However, I can still appreciate it done this way too. I think it was hard too because in season 1 Tiffani and Mark-Paul had contracts with other networks. It limited the amount they could be in it. This year we won't have that complication. I hope season 2 gives us a little more of the realistic view of Zack and Kelly and less silly. Oh and they need another kid or two too. Even Tiffani herself said she thought they'd have like 4 by now. sigh.

Kelly knows deep down inside she still loves Zack but too me Lisa seem more like a better pick for him or even Jesse maybe because they've known Zack longer. Not only that Lisa would of been the first African American he ever dated in history but I rather see Zack with Lisa or Jesse than Kelly in a way. Lisa and Zack had clear chemistry It was too obvious. But the reason why the showrunners didn't want to them to have a long term relationship is because she's black and he's white. Like let's just call a spade of spade. 😂😂 Even if they gave them one episode where they attempted to have them date and break ol Screech's unrequited heart, they knew it would it bother the Zack and Kelly fans especially the "white," demographic fanbase which is huge. Plus interracial relationships on TV back then was not a huge common thing like it is today. Lisa was even supposed to be a white Jewish girl. They never prepared for black maim characters. I'm sure once Lark got the part they probably had to rewrite and change some storylines one of them probably being a romance between Zack and Lisa. None of it would surprise me if true.

One of My favorite couples from The Original Saved By The Bell, I hated When Zack & Kelly broke up But I was happy When they got back together again & Got married at the end & I loved The reboot of The series, It's Just too bad Peacock cancel It after two seasons, I would of like to see If Jesse & AC Slater would get back together again??? Honestly, Kelly didn't deserve Zack. There's the Jeff thing then prof Laskey. Zack was never Kelly's first choice. He had to fight to get her attention. And even after Jeff cheated and Zack told her the truth, she went off on him. He should've stayed with Stacy
