Now you need an Apex. That was the best colour of all of them 😊 Also a very usable bike

What a beauty. I had a ruby red Apex in 93. My first mountain bike. Loved it. A summit or peak could be my next project to go with my 6 other retro bikes builds!😂

Good shout out to RetroBikes Forum! I am on there too and even though I am not a Raleigh fan, I do like that Peak model, it's a nice bike. I hope you'll enjoy riding yours, Tom!

I've got this bike, bought it in 1994 in a bike shop in Falmouth, the guy told me he couldn't shift it because it was 'pink' so it was discounted from RRP. Anyway I've kept it all these years, lovely to ride, my brother came over from OZ and rode it all around Cornwall. I rode it regularly after I moved to Northamptonshire in 2000 but the last couple of years it was in the garage after a knee injury (not on the bike). Had it serviced again earlier this year and it runs like a dream, had the cables and jockey wheels replaced but the rest of the groupset is fine, I think I have been through one chain in its life, the frame is a little heavy by modern standards but bombproof. There is a little forest with lots of trails not far away and have really been putting it through its paces. Nice to see another one has stood the test of time.

Enjoyed this video, I’ve had a 1992 Ravine since new and still love it. Just interested to know how tall you are to want a 17 inch frame?

Thanks for the comment, I'm 5'10 really now. I just prefer a small twitchy frame

I personally don't go in for the retro bikes but I understand it , my Dad is a friend with a guy called Chris Chance back in the states and my dad has a very large collection of original retro fat chance and Yo Eddy bikes. so I do get it (I had a chance to ride on one of the original TI models back in 2011)
