Sadly it's just waiting for the all consuming flame that most derelict historical properties in Derby have suffered regardless of so called protection. My very best wishes to all who have tried to protect this interesting and attractive building we have lost such alot of character in Derby. Thank you.

Well done the Friends of 27 Queen Street and the Civic Society. Unfortunately, with the notorious record of Derby Council for vandalism of Derbys heritage, the listing isn't a guarantee of many years survival. We only have to look a few hundred yards further North to witness another Grade 2 listed structure rotting away under their irresponsble 'care', i.e. the raised pavement railings on Duffield Road.
