First class work, as I've come to expect. If (when...) that gearbox on the deck starts leaking, you can use corn head grease in it instead of gear oil. Tractor Supply should have it. It's a light grease that get's very fluid when up to operating temp but thick enough not to leak so much.

Another brilliant resurrection. That certainly is one robust machine. I love how you can take off an old part like that hydraulic cylinder, disassemble it, and rebuild it with new parts and have it as good as new. Because back in the day you got real quality. Try that with the tin can and plastic junk made today. You used to buy a machine and it was built like a tank. Now you get something that has Bluetooth and a cup holder for your soy latte but falls apart in a strong wind. Sad. I am also fascinated by the collection of tools you have for your projects. And the ones you craft yourself. Very interesting. I always enjoy your great videos and look forward to the next monstrosity that needs your help. I vote that you do decide to paint this treasure. This machine cost whatever organization bought it years ago a huge pile of money (taxpayers or whomever) so it's great to see you pulling it from the jaws of the shredder. Some basic maintenance would have kept it in service many more years but I guess it's easy to give up on something that a company or municipality is okay with just replacing! Just like you said I'd paint back green again why not right. After all that's what the original color of it was to begin with. I think it was Forest Green.,or emerald Green.,or Hunter Green we're the paint color codes that was used on those green lawnmowers back then. Cause A lot of them was sprayed powder coated and sprayed clear coat and sealer. I've seen them being sprayed with mixed green powder coating with metallic flakes. In both of the paint and the clear coating sealer together. As the new paint jobs on them. I think it was like Three of them was repainted differently colors though. Two different green ones and one yellow.,or orange colored one to with metallic flakes.

I bought a Allis Chalmers AC130 lawn mower for 50 bucks, wouldn't run, and needed a spindle, I got it it running, cleaned the carb and that was it, and the spindle, I cut one in half that was on a craftsman tractor and welded it to the Allis, been great for the 2 years I've owned it. Had a Troy built Pony that had a Kolar engine I got for free, threw a rod and sat for years, I put a 23 horse briggs on it, and sold that thing, Love finding stuff like this and fixing worn out stuff others deemed junk.

We had a Lab that had the same injury, we paid up for the surgery, and she came out of it great, was back to normal after. Hardest part was keeping her from running until it healed up, had to massage her leg after the surgery and do range of motion exercises, she loved that part and expected it long after she was better..😆

Awesome video, Thanks for bringing the old girl back to life for another chance. I loved my Toro GroundsMaster 223D, 5 foot cutting deck. It was so fast and it cut the paddock 6ft weeds just as easily and as well as the lawn. I think you will be making any excuse to just jump on her and go mowing :-).

Great work, I have a diesel mower also. You just can't beat their strength and reliability!

A spray bottle filled with water is handy when you weld. That engine is making that land mower a beast. Will cut through any weed as it was not there.

🙂 I love the fact that you add your own grease fittings,! A lot of equipment don't have them, or they do have them and people ignore them. 😑 I enjoy you videos way too much. Keep it up my Man.

Very nice job indeed! I love diesel engines and hydraulic features, and you have them both. I liked the juice can seal inserter! I look forward to the beautification of this noble machine.

With the hydraulic systems on this mower, this was a helluva project, but was worth it since it is a really unusual and useful mower.
