Always great videos from you Tyler I'm surprised there are no tow hooks , and no skid plates on this WJ? I have a silver 04 RWD Freedom 4.7 H.O. V8. (WEIRD,RARE)Can you please show the install of the wj front stock radiator skid plate. Would be a great quick video. Since someone stole mine😟. 😮.

I had no idea there was a ball joint in the back. I’ve replaced much of the rear suspension due to wear. I have a clunking sound back there I couldn’t find. Thanks…

Yes! 99.9% of the time a clunk from the rear of a WJ is the rear upper ball joint.

I normally buy my used mechanical fans from our local pick and pull salvage yards.

Grab a Hayden 2787 fan clutch and a dorman 621-515. They come from GM trucks but will fit even with electric fan installed. Much better than Mopar OEM mechanical fan for WJ.

Tyler, what’s the % on the tint that factory wj’s have for the rear glass, been wanting to do my front passenger and driver windows to match the rears for a while because I’m the summer my ac can barely keep up with keeping me cool with the sun beating through the windows on a 95+ plus day here in Kansas

I always have 20% put on the front 2 doors and it seems to match the rear factory tint pretty darn close

God, I continue to rescue 🛟 my 2001 WJ Laredo. Paid $3,200 6 yrs ago. Now have $27k into it. I’m an idiot! Will never see that money 💰. It has literally everything replaced V8 motor, Trans, front & rear diffs, complete a/c system, 6” lift kit, Bilstein’s, rotors and brakes, complete suspension rebuild, blah, blah, blah! The body is perfect and leather interior. Now buying a new Jeep Gladiator it maybe time to let her go.

I have both a V8 WJ w/180k and Gladiator Mojave. The Gladiator has already lost right cam at 70K. Improper heat treat. The WJ just shocks and brakes. Im doing the valve stem seals and timing chain as a preventative. Ill probably sell the Gladiator this spring.

Tyler, do you know if the drivers side front door checker is the same as the front passenger door checker. I see you can only buy the driver's side from rock auto?

I happened to look at the check strap when I swapped on my new salvage yard door and noticed it said "right" on it, so something must be different but I bet you could make one work.

I have tried rock auto door checks for the WJ a couple times. They all had cheap pot metal brackets on the body side that cracked and ripped off, leaving the door swinging loose. I just go for the salvage yard to look for ok OEM door checks.
