I have to say, I am the recipient of this garment, my bf surprised me with it. It is so beautiful in person and so sturdy feeling! If I look super close in the most unnatural lighting, you can sort of see the iron. But you /really/ have to be looking for it. If I had not seen this video, I wouldn't have known it was there at all. The applicate does an amazing job disguising the mark. I also love the little snap closure on the applicate to allow for it to open and not be in the way of the zipper. It is so amazingly comfortable too! As someone who has been into wearing alt fashion for like 15 years, I can say, that other outfits are not comfortable at all. I certainly have worn it around the apartment a couple times because I love the flow of the train bit. I look forward to actually having an event to wear this to. Amazing job!

Oh wow, this is so wonderful to read! Glad to hear it is not a problem haha. But really I love reading your comment, thank you so much for taking the time to type this ^^ I always strive to make my pieces as comfy as possible, as it all started as outfits for myself to dance in on goth parties, so it had to be wearable for many hours and easy to move in ^^ Wishing you happy times wearing it!

This shows to never be scared and stop, 'you learn from mistakes' !! And the mistake made it look even better!!!!! Love how you gave it a second chance! And it turned out stunning♡

many post tutorials or fast in progress videos but they dont often show what actually happens, there's sometimes mistakes or accidents it happens a lot for me even with just accessories but we can still make it work in a different way. love end result so beautiful 🖤🖤

I love the pleats on the bodice!! I have a fabric that I was debating doing pintucks on (although I never thought it was really suited to pintucks) but the way you pleated your bodice is so stunning that I might do that for my project too!

Thank you ^^ It was a hassle to pleat it in a satisfying way, also because I have little experience with plissé, but I am happy with how it turned out :D I love pintucks too, thank you for the reminder, I want to purchase a sewing foot for it :) Would love to know how your project turned out :D

amazing! Also, does your serger have the machine on the left, or is the video mirrored? I recently took apart a thrifted silk top with similar pleats, and they had actually stitched every pleat vertically and sized them so that the end of the next pleat covered the stitching! Your interfacing trick looks a lot quicker for the same effect, though :)

Ah blips, yet again I forget to mirror the video! Indeed, it is mirrored as I film in selfie mode, so I can check everything is in frame and focus. But I always intend to then mirror it, to not make left handed people, or people who for other reasons prefer it, think that this machine actually exists in left version :o Thank you for the reminder! Thank you for your comment kind words ^^ Yes, that top sounds like more the traditional way of fixating it.. ! I first thought of not using interfacing at all, that also looked nice. but then decided it would have a nicer effect if it would be a bit more set. So then I decided on this ^^ It is all trial and error!
