My mother grew up in Palestine before there was Israel. She said watched the locals who grew, threshed and ground their own wheat in the town. She also watched women make vats of labneh balls and store them in olive oil. My grandmother said the different faiths all lived in peace together, going to each other's family gatherings. Stark difference to the way it is today.

@@Alexdorio-kc9yf Oh my, that's unbelievable, how could they be so selfish? How could they not give away 55% of the land which is supposed to be theirs for free like charity to some random group of people that seek shelter in their nation?! I guess the only correct response that Israelis can make is to punish these Palestinians, their children and grandchildren for the next 75 years is to occupy their land, kick them out of their homes, treat them like animals, genocide them, and steal their entire nation (which is also completely against UN laws btw.) I'm sorry, you can call me cruel and selfish all you want but if one day, some people come to my country Vietnam asking for shelter, we will gladly welcome them in, Chinese or American, we have no problem with them. But if they suddenly want to build a nation by taking our land? Things will be bloody for both sides. Vietnam have gone through a lot of wars, and we will go through another one if that's what it takes for us to maintain our beloved country. I'm very sure most if not all nations around the world will/are doing the same. Territory of a nation or a group of people is not something that can be given away like charity. No, that decision belongs to the indigenious people - the rightful owner of the land which is not the Jewish or even the UN in this case unfortunately. If you still can't understand me, then tell me what is your country? Would you mind if I bring my people to your nation, ask the UN to give away half of your territories, then proceed to kick you out of your own house, treat you like crap, kill your people when they fight back, whine like a b*tch when something bad eventually happen to my settlers, proceed to genocide your kind and declare that your people never exist and this entire nation is mine?

Instead of erasing this cultural and historical aspect of Jews, how about we agree on the fact that our people like to eat the same incredible dishes?
