Saving Righteousness

Most of what is taught in Christianity is taught in other religions. God as a creator, that all of mankind are guilty of sin, and of judgment to come. But true Christianity is set apart from other religions in that it teaches righteousness by faith.

This is so amazing...I've been pondering on this very question in the last couple of days...I've come to the conclusion that Christ was obedient in our place...I've always thought that God does the work in my heart to make me obedient...but actually Jesus died on the cross for my sins..my disobedience....he stood in for me!for my unrighteousness....why then would I need to become righteousness through my own strength.....the price has been paid....in Full...hallelujah...Jesus stands in the gap for me. He is my righteousness.

Amen. Romans 5:6 tells us the basic concept. That Jesus did not die for the righteous, but for the unrighteous. That's us, me and you. While we were still sinners (that's us again, we are born as sinners because of the fall of Adam) Jesus died for us. But now that we have been justified by Blood, how much more will Jesus save us from the wrath of God. We are justified by His sacrifice and His blood just as you said and how the bible tells us. Bless you sister in Christ ❤️ Romans 5:6 6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person-though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die-8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.

My father in law has only days to live. He is an unbeliever. He has cancer. Please pray that he accepts Jesus as his savior before he passes. He's in the hospital now but in a day or so he's coming home to die. He said he feels he will be dead in a week. I'm asking the body of Christ to lift him up in prayer for God to save him. His name is Rick. In fact my spouses whole side of the family is unsaved. May they all come to the saving knowledge of Jesus the Christ.

yeah, me too. But I had some wonderful friends who held this truth and taught me every chance they could get...and it was hard, b/c the church I was at as a new Christian did not teach this. But God caused me to grasp it eventually...quite a few years, and now I try to teach it to people at my current church.

Righteousness by faith is a substance but also has EVIDENCE of dead to sin(flesh) and able to walk in the spirit and have holy life through the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We no longer live but Christ lives in us. And through Jesus Christ we can do all things: we can resist temptation, we can love our enemies, we can love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength in the spirit...this is not by fleshly works but by the working of the Holy Spirit, it's called born again.

What you are saying is correct partially. I don't know about you, but when I was saved God gave me a new heart and a new spirit. That certainly constatutes God changing me by my understanding of the word.

Thank you brother. I have known that I had the righteousness of Jesus Christ since the moment I was saved by God and his spirit came to live within me. I have been telling people through God's word that if a person does not have the spirit of God in them that he does not belong to Jesus Christ and is NOT part of the body of Christ. This is a message that never seems to get preached. Your message is spot on and also rarely if ever gets preached. Thank you for preaching it. Even after being saved, I sometimes find myself trying to please God by 'doing the right thing', and God has to remind me that I cannot possibly do anything more to please him. Offering our own works to God is a very seductive work of the flesh when even a born again believer can sometimes forget the work of his own savior. I think this message should be preached about once a month. I love you brother Pearl.

Even though I do believe the Salvation message exactly as taught in this video, you have put a different twist to it like I've never heard. Very good job Pastor Peral. However, you might want to expound a little more on the Judgement seat of Christ, as some have indicated here asking: "Are you stating that we will not be judged?". Actually, we are justified by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. But, at the judgment seat of Christ, it is our works that are judged whether good or bad for rewards that we will receive.

Brother pearl 2 points of disagreement with you the rest I agree 100% point number one. There are many Christian denominations that teach in faith alone In Christ alone Not only imputed righteousness but imparted righteousness. And the prayer is the calling part you believe In your heart but you Also call upon the Lord for salvation that's the prayer part. Point number 2. Jesus did not Complete our redemption By spending 3 days in hell He completed Our redemption on the cross that's why he said It is finished (totalestei) While he was still on the cross before he died That is what he said. And he is not a liar I do not know where you get the idea That Jesus spent 3 days in hell to Complete our salvation.

This teaching is a base for new believers. Then the believer has to grow in Christ and earn rewards. There are plenty of scriptures that tell us to be careful and not to lose out holiness that was given us through blood of Christ.
