There’s currently an estimated one thousand giant pandas left in China, and unless crucial steps are taken, the iconic bears could soon be wiped out forever. At China’s Wolong Nature Reserve in the mountains in Sichuan Province, forty giant pandas and a dedicated team of staff play a crucial role in ensuring the survival of the species.

Appreciate when humans help animals. There are valuable information about Giant Panda moms able to raise twins, especially when they do not have to worry about the wild. Sometimes, indeed, it is necessary to help mom to help raise the tiny newborns. We should never forget that these tiny cubs need the mothers’ warmth, milk and knowledge about their own Giant Panda behaviors.

@@olgavieira4928 Thanks for your comment. I know about the Giant Panda in Beauval Zoo. Also the famous Giant Panda Mom in Vienna who raised her twins from birth to separation by herself. The keepers in Vienna held a close eye on the twins (and Mom), but did not interfere in Mom’s care and raising of her twins! Giant Panda Mom Meng Meng in Berlin Zoo has twin boys; apparently she needed help raising the tiny cubs in the beginning, then she took over raising both. They just celebrated their 4th birthday in Berlin.

I think you mixed up your comment with the wrong show. How I know this? Because I also am a HERD follower. You are talking about the Rhinos😂😂 Unless on this same feed they are showing documentaries about the Panda family and the Rhinos @HERD with Adine... no worries...I mostly have been following Adine/HERD with the Ellies Khanyisa and the new baby Phabeni at the Jabulani Sanctuary. Watching them grow everyday since 2020. These Pandas are very interesting though. Enjoy!✌️

I must say the carer of these pandas sacrafice SO MUCH! Including his own wife and daughter. Blessings to YOU SIR! I COMMEND YOU! I do feel the intro to the wild and weaning the babies away from Mom was too abrupt. I understand that they only ovulate only once a year, however if weaning away from mom began sooner...even a couple of weeks of introduction to the wild then come back together, then the mothers and babies would adjust better. Mom would not be upset when she should be focusing on mating and marking a few hours a day then back with her cubs. Also the cubs would adjust to new life outside slowly daily then come back to mom. Yes ..an aditional two weeks would be so much kinder to the family. I dont feel FIREWORKS in the vicinity help matters either. Just my opinion, even being a mother of 2. Left me distraught and upset. However, I have much respect for the dedication of the Carers! Blessings to all!🙏🏻💪✌️❤

something about this doesn't feel completely right...i can't say why, but the bear in that concrete space, the constant manipulation by humans, the lack of gloves, it seems so strange. I know they are experienced professionals and certainly mean well, but event with all that something doesn't feel right...am sorry for the pandas...

🎉Taking them away from their Mother, just so they can reproduce is horrible!!! The Vet talks about how Pandas have human feelings. If that's true, taking the babies away from their mothers and visa versa at 6 months instead of the normal 18 months, when they are not ready/ prepared, is cruel!!! Through life cycles, some animals become extinct. It's a part of the cycle of life!
@kimberlyrichardson5943
@kimberlyrichardson5943 10 ай бұрын
That is very true. Would he advise removing a human 6 year old from their mother and forcing them to live alone? I can't imagine that that's good for long term development and mental health. Breeding every year also can't possibly be good for them either, or else their cub rearing phase wouldn't be so long.
