See my favorite part about risk of rain as a series is that your perspective on the game changes entirely depending on if you know the lore or not, it goes from you being the hero to you being some poor schmuck who had to murder a bunch of endangered sentient species to get off a planet and killing two genuinely godlike brothers in the process this is their home their last place in the universe, and you are the invader In a certain manner of speaking.
