My only question is if you participated in any of the betas or stress test? I only see footage of other KZbinrs work on the review, or footage direct from the devs. Everyone is welcome to thier opinion, but informed opinion from your own play test is better than inferred by watching others when talking to subscribers. Not to mention the risk of claims from the other creators for taking their work.

While i do like what i hear, one advise i would give is to remove the whole intro (or put parts of it later in the video). See a video from you for the first time, finding the video when searching for a review of this game, it is not good to be 4 minutes into the video without hearing anything about the game. Keep up the work you do and good luck out there!

I wanted to write exactly the same thing. 4 minutes and no info on the game yet is pretty tiring and i m sure a lot of people will just skip the video and find another one that gets to the point. Believe me enough people know how much effort the editing and everything takes. First video i see from him and there isnt even any personal gameplay or experience. Regarding subscribing. I hear you, and I do want to support your efforts, as I appreciate the time you put in to help me understand a game and make a decision on buying it. It's valuable. However... I don't necessarily want to get pinged or have my youtube front page filled up with video's i'm not interested in watching. So I don't 'subscribe' to creators that i don't intend to watch every single video they release. And your content falls into that category, as there are some games I just don't care about at all. I wish youtube would let us better manage what we see, but that's how it is. So I won't subscribe, but will leave a like and recommend the video to friends looking to get this game. Thanks PS. It appears you have mostly taken video footage from outside sources, ie, not your own footage. Which begs the question, how much have you actually personally played the game? As if you haven't played it, your subjective review is pretty much worthless. You dont' actually have any experience of what you're talking about? You didn't even start talking about the game until 5 mins into the video... given many viewers attention span is 10 mins at most, people have already stopped watching by then. If you're going to make a game review video, you might consider actually reviewing the game... Save the personal rant for another video, or at the end or something. TLDR: Didn't like this video. It was a mix of general personal rant about shilling, about early access games in general, and some existential opinions on games in general. And those are topics I didn't expect to hear about, and had no interest in, and was definitely not mentioned in the title of your video. With no actual personal Nightengale experience, or even your own footage. End result = probably won't ever watch your video's again, as this video had absolutely nothing worth watching, and majority content was not at all expected, had nothing to do with video title.

Most of my videos have over 1 to 5k views for a channel my size that’s good! Also have many people coming back and watching, I have the analytics you don’t. So I won’t waste time arguing as I literally do this as my side job and have close to 10,000 people follow me. It might not be pewdiepie level of success but give it a go, see how far you get.

Nice video, congrats. I think that 20min reviews are quite long, you could either aim for shorter videos at least for reviews or put timestamps to guide those who just want your opinion on the game. I was choosing reviews for this game based on the length of the video, for example. Regardless of that, great job!

Good insights from your previous experience. For an alpha it's got a foundation, melee was one ofbthe first things i noticed, it felt thin and not super rewarding. Generally though, i think thst will be an instant next focus for them. You can easily observe more focused and flesh out systems to the not so much yet. I think this has been through many development pivots before it's reache this stage but has a good direction now. Thanks for your efforts in doing a subjective experience driven review like this. Patience to listen to subjective input is really important and probably the hardest thing for people to do these days. 🤝

If you cut all that out of the video, and simply kept the actual review parts, you'd cut video from 19 mins down to maybe 5. A few general video tips from me as I would like you to get better. 1) You can't have a 5 min intro. I appreciate you are trying to get more subs etc but that might not be the way, or try to be very brief about it. Good videos should be the advertisement of your channel, not you talking about it for minutes. 2) Break down video into sections, use them on the timeline of the video. That way people can see the structure of the video and potentially jump between the sections they are the most interested in. 3) The camera is a bit distracting, stands out a bit too much. Maybe it's the dark background. Maybe it's the lack of green screen. It could be the placement/size. I can't tell but it feels off. All of that aside, you speak really well and you have a good voice for youtube. Once you iron out a few things I can see you getting way bigger. Good luck! As for the game, I'm considering getting it although it doesn't seem to live to the hype which is a shame after going through Enshrouded.

My Guy, Your video is good. But it is 5 Minutes before you even start talking about the game. Just from a channel growth perspective; You gain or lose your audience in the 1st minute. And anyone that clicked on this video is only interested in Nightingale. You're expecting them to listen to 5 minutes of things they don't care about before you give them what they came for. They won't Take a look at your video analytics and I am willing to bet you're seeing a large drop off in viewers in those 1st 5 minutes. This is why. Save the channel management for the end of your video. Not the start. Yes, people might not see it. But you increase the chances of people actually watching the video. And the people that actually watch the video are more likely to listen to the "Like, comment, subscribe" stuff. That's why everyone does it that way. Or it should only last a few seconds if you insist on doing it early. Not 5 minutes!
