Hi Savi!! You look stunning. Just yesterday I was chking some blind hem videos and i found they were using foot that looked like the overcast foot in your video.. can that be used too for blind hemming provided that it too has a small guide at the bottom(though not adjustable)?

Hi, thank you :-) Yes, you can do blind hem with overcast foot or even your standard presser foot but only thing is you would need to manually adjust and guide your fabric which is a little easier with the blind hem foot.

Hi, you can use a lot of other presser feet like invisible zipper foot, Flower stitch attachment [we have made a video], Rolled hem foot, Blind hem foot, overcast foot and there are so many other.

You mean doing zig zag stitch at the edge of the fabric? There is no hard and fast rule for width selection. You may decide what width would be good.

Thank you. If you do not have a serger you can use the overcast foot with your sewing machine to stop fabric fraying and also for a neat finish. Serger also has a blade which cuts and neatens the edges of the fabric as you do the overlocking stitch which give a more neater and professional finish.
