I have a question: when are you going to start working for Savotta!?

If anything, I just hope my kids can get a job there someday if they want. I'm just having fun :)

Haha yeah, too long for a hat and too short to handle. I just have to let it do its thing for a while. It used to be down to my shoulders, that's where I'm going back to

I use a kukkaro as an edc bag and have the smallest trinket pouch on the loop surface inside as card and cash storage. Unexciting setup (for savotta customizability standards), still works very well for me
@Tim_KeysАй бұрын
I have played with that too, but it wasn't too easy to work with all the time. I ended up getting a second very thin wallet, for smaller cash and a card, that you can't even tell is in my pocket. Super great in the butt mag pouch pocket of the Varusteleka Tac Jeans
@MrCastleJohnnyАй бұрын
I would love to see some examples,what to put in those pouches. Like a hygienic kit, electronics, or what ever usecase you found for those. can you show how they fit?

I will see what I can do

I don’t use them only for packing, but have also two (of the hook-equipped versions) in the trunk of my car, hooked to the loop-material on the sides and full with small utilities and tools.

Wow ii actually was looking at fine strong mesh material today, because i wanted to make a head net/foraging net that was strong, and randomly the day after i subscribed to you, you post this video. I actually have a question - Are the mesh fine enough to keep out mosquitoes and can you see through it comfortably? 5:25 sling bag under your clothes to dry out damp clothes or tinder. Thanks for sharing have a great day :)
@Tim_KeysАй бұрын
I wouldn't recommend it as a bug net, visibility would be rather poor and it would allow the smaller insects through pretty easily, maybe not mosquitoes though. I just looked at Varusteleka and found a really good head net from South Africa though www.varusteleka.com/en/product/sadf-mosquito-net-unissued/80060 And that sling dry bag idea is great! I will definitely be passing that information along. Thank you for the support and kindness, I'm here for folks like you

This place was built by the zoviets in the 1960's, no standard door frame and super dumb layout. Unfortunately I have no place for such a thing. My wife's mom was still working, so we moved in with her so she could retire while we save up for a house. Looking good to move in a few months maybe :)
@FinnishGearАй бұрын
@@Tim_Keys haha, the soviets really thought about.... nothing. Fingers crossed for the move.!

Thanks man :) And don't get me wrong, I've seen comparably bad stuff and worn out places in my hometown of Sacramento, but here it's fun because when people say it's too easy to make russia the enemy...... well.... yeah. This time checks out at least. "I have an idea. You there, getting a degree, fuck that. Build this."

Well, as Savotta is military (NATO)- gear. Anything else than a super-strong, ligh-weight mesh would be embarrasing for the company! 😀 Stay strong brother.
@Tim_KeysАй бұрын
I've seen some very well known manufacturers of NATO gear have terrible examples, like mesh that either ripped easily or could split at the seams where the two material types come together. Most times governments don't pick the best, they pick good enough but also good price. Playing that game can kill soldiers, in an accident as easily as in combat. But with these folks at Savotta, you find people that proudly wear and trust what they create when they do their service time. I'm proud to have them, and their gear, in our ranks now.
