Perez being alive confirms Tim’s statement of “if you don’t see their head get blown up, they’re still alive”. This becomes even more true in the next movie. 😂

I stopped watching the Saw movies at Saw 3 but thanks to the Dead Meat KZbin channel I've kept up with the lore and best moments of the franchise. This has been some of the most fun I've had with an In Review series in my 4 years as a KF best friend. Love y'all.

Everything about the character of Jill starts to make sense when you find out that her actress was once married to one of the franchise’s long-time producers 😅

I’m kind surprised they didn’t like the carousel as much as I did. It’s so unique in my opinion and pretty messed up in a lot of ways. I also love how they all throw each other under the bus for their boss to not kill them 😂

For some context, William and Pamela were brother and sister.

I'm with Fredo. With all the issues I can point out about Saw VI story wise its strong and has one of the better connections to the Saw universe with its victims so in my mind when I'm looking back at ranking I usually put VI above V and IV due to the story connection.
@iihastega597211 ай бұрын
What do the victims in VI have to do with the rest of the films plot? Other than Insurance Guy having met Jigsaw and being in Saw VI I couldn’t find any reason the tests were happening.
@dakotabaird11 ай бұрын
@@iihastega5972 that's exactly why. It's the insurance company/team that denied Jigsaw coverage for a life saving operation.

weird y'all weren't big on the shotgun carousel, some people call it the best trap in the series

Also just a great analog of the idea of "death panels" that was pervasive around the same time that Saw VI came out.

The carousel trap is awesome. I love that the family had a choice to save the dude and stilld killed him. I also love how at the end Hoffman was put in an unwinable trap and still got out, that was badass.

The reason Jill is in them so much is because the actress was engaged to Producer Mark Burg.

Oddly enough, Saw 3D boosts such self-awareness and campiness (both intentionally and not so much), that it might offer you guys a reprieve from the overly serious, nihilistic tone of the prior installments. We can't call it "good", but besides the horrible color grading, I can confidently say it's one of the more fun watches in the franchise. I'd say it's a guilty pleasure, but then again, the franchise as a whole could be considered a guilty pleasure in my opinion.

Anyone that enjoys this movie is suffering from some “frog in boiling water” effect because this film is actual abysmal. Saw V, VI and VII all have the same issue of the B-plots not having a single bearing on the story but are mandatory to fill screen time and provide Saw Traps. The scene with Hoffman’s John Wick moment at the end is like a parody. The earlier films built (for better and worse) on the story and offered developments. These last few just exist for no reason. Someone answer this: Where is the Saw franchise going in these films? “Hoffman might be caught but isn’t.” “Hoffman might be caught again but isn’t.” Bizarrely though, Saw X is got to be the best one against all odds.
@a7000zo11 ай бұрын
I think Saw VI is the only one that exemplifies your issue. Saw V had the main game be the means for Hoffman to frame Strahm before killing him to retain his anonymity. Saw VII had Bobby's trial & the Garage trap be the means for Hoffman to disorient the police for long enough to allow him to get his revenge on Jill. The characters in those B-plots don't share direct ties with the actual protagonists of the movies like Saw/II/IV, sure enough, but the games themselves were still written as integral pieces to the villains' overarching schemes. Saw VI had its main plot and the William trials stay as totally parallel stories that never cross paths beyond passing mentions. That was always one of my main gripes with that film, despite most of the community still overrating it as one of the best films in the franchise. I enjoy it, but I don't see it as part of my top tier entries.
