@@audramcdonaldapologist3676 I simply have to disagree. What what even remotely lead you to that conclusion? Shes only started deliberately lightening her voice in the recent album. Been listening to her since day 1 and in her earlier tracks her voice is extremely chesty and heavy. Listen to Sleeping in Waking, Cyber Stockholm Syndrome and Flicker and you'll know what I mean. Her tessitura is also *very* low for someone who you'd say is a soprano. Rina's voice is naturally low and chesty, she only very recently started singing with a lighter vocal weight.

@@gamer1X12 "Vocal weight" and "chestiness" has nothing to do with voice type, it's simply technique. And even if it were, I heard plenty of Sopranos with stronger & darker chest voice than what's shown here. I listened to Rina's full discography and she never sounded like a Mezzo to me. And not sure where you're hearing the "low tessitura" either. To my ears, she has no issues phrasing in the 5th octave, and using her head voice up to C6. She does have a nice richness/fullness to her voice, I guess that in combination with her decent mid-range lead you to call her a "Mezzo", but her tone overall is pretty similar to Ariana's imo. For referencing a true Mezzo Soprano in pop, listen to Etta James or Adele. Even at her "darkest and heaviest", Rina sounds audibly girlier than either of these women, and she never had as booming of a lower register or mid range either. Very clearly a Soprano, perhaps even high Soprano
