After a long day yesterday cutting and burning old wood I can sit down today with my cup of tea and my source of serious therapy. Ah, the sight and sound of a log being sawn. Thanks Marc.

Good evening from SoCal. Before WWII major construction projects for the military were done by civilian contractors but they were not trained to fight or allowed to carry weapons. In Dec. 1941 three Navy Construction Battalions (CBs) were formed and trained by the Marines in ground combat. In 1942 the Construction Battalions were officially named Seabees. And...thanks for another great video.

You mentioned how Mr. McCoy would pull one inch boards even at the expense of his carriage dogs. To me that's silly. Like any other business you want to maximize profits/minimize time and wear and tear. I would think having to replace saw teeth and risk other dangers to your carriage and saw just to get one more $3-$8 board would be extremely counter productive. Just leave it as a 2 inch board! They sell too. They're also useful around the mill sometimes. Thank you for another great video!!!!
