It's good to see you helping Dan. I've tailed a sawmill and it's no easy task keeping up with the mill.

I have watched all of your videos from day One, I love them all, you have taught Me Many things, I had a Wood Shop class in 7 Th Grade, We only made things on a Lathe , and table saws, I fell in love with wood, the Grains and all, But I became a believer that every piece of wood has a Purpose, no matter what it is, Some of the logs you cut the bark off and turn it over, and Certain pieces have a look that is A Wood Carvers Dream, My Best, Cousin Figel

Nice video Mark, i like that spruce - seems to mill pretty well. I was thinking oh crap when that board fell off the head block, but you handled it perfect, experience is very nice to have. Many people to not realize how fast something can go wrong and could turn out to be a very dangerous situatin. As i have mentioned before you guys are great at safety, 100%. Many times, including this video, i have heard you say, i am watching Eddie's fingers, or i need to wait til Eddie clears. That is fantastic, and like you mentioned in this video, main thing do not panic, slow down and move along. :) Thanks... guys.

Ya’ll need to put out wanted posters for ZZ Mark. That rascal. I miss him. Mark. You are your own master. You and T. H. E. Eddie Horvath make the rules. If your viewers don’t like it, that’s their problem. You have over 30 years experience cutting. No need apologize for what you do. You da man! Love the videos. Keep em coming. Thank you. 😊

I used many, many rough cut 2X4s from the local sawmill in Vermont in the 1970s. And just like the rough sawn and even pit sawn wall framing I dealt with and repaired in Massachusetts, you swing a hatchet/hammer. One face drives your nails,, the other face trims the over large faces to allow drywall or plaster. Your 2X4 s are ridiculously accurate. From what I have seen here,, ya don't need the hatchet on your stock.

Your lumber is true to measurement, i.e. 2x4, 2x6, 1x12, so when someone buys this lumber or you saw to order, how much shrinkage happens after it leaves your place? A 2x4 from a lumber yard or building suppler is not ever a true 2x4. So if a builder uses your fresh lumber, how much does it differ in the end product?
@markgalicic7788Ай бұрын
this is what the customer wanted a full 2x4 , stores sells 1-1/2x 3-1/2 as a 2x4.
