thank you, a great tutorial.. what is the typical lifespan for such saw? could it cut sayh 5m before it gets blunt? that being said, any saw recommendations?

Can I use this equipment and technique on 20 gauge steel?

Hi Msfdirect, We are not familiar with cutting steel. We hope you can find your answer!

Msfdirect Yes of course this set up will work, it's just another metal. You'll dull blades much faster than typical jewellery materials. Use the highest blade tension you can achieve and apply lubricants frequently to prolong the life. Stainless steel (if you ever use it) is the PITA devil child and will be difficult to cut no matter what you do. Use the best quality blade if cutting stainless, or one specifically designed for hard metals. Most other common grades of steel are not overly difficult.
