Keep doing what you are doing it is calming to watch for me as a 55 year old who could only wish I could come over there from Australia and meet you all and I would want to work for you. I love this type of thing and could watch it for hours. Tony

Glad to see Dr. Horvath and Z Z Mark manning the off bearing department. The sawmill I work at in Ontario. Makes a stick for drying lumber with special grooves cut in them for air flow they are called breeze dried sticks leave no stain and no imprint at all from the sticks you should look into it they are great. We even make crossers for in between the bundles of lumber
@TheWildWestMill Жыл бұрын
Also when sticking lumber you want your first and last stick as close to ends of pile as possible because the lumber will split to the first stick so u could lose 4 or 5 inches from every board which is not good

Hello, Mark. I assure you I'm not being a smart aleck. I'm just curious because it has been 2 decades since I last worked in the lumber industry. You mentioned just because the log was 6 foot that it doesn't make it any less valuable than an 8 footer. Last I knew the rule was if it's under 8 foot it can not be "clear" only "select" grade for a 6 footer.. Has the rule changed? Do select boards fetch around the same market value as clear?? I enjoy your videos! I miss this kind of work honestly....
