Many years ago, I had the idea of having single coils placed vertically so each string would have it's own pickup. Obviously that wouldn't work because the strings wouldn't be over the poles, then I thought about having them horizontal from the bridge, up to the neck to grab the sound. My idea involved all the pickups being on at once. Not being mechanically inclined, I never built it.

Those positions 2 and 4 on the strat switch are NOT out of phase, they never have been. I don't know why people keep saying that.

When you shut one coil off on a humbucker it’s called a coil split. Not a coil tap. Coil tap is something totally different.

played this guitar today Was really impressed ..The strat sounds we're beautiful. ..frets we're nice. neck felt wide and beefy ..it had great tones ..the Floyd was NOT set up right couldn't pull back and could BARELY go down ...guessing the guy that bought it monkeyed it up ..easy fix MAB was true about the volume difference .but it IS solved as he said .it was overall a wonderful instrument .I have strats and humbucker guitars Paul's ,335, Ibanez Peavey ..was curious and this guitar was awesome .if someone only needs one guitar that does both ..it's the way to go ..if they added a Piezo, A man wouldn't need any others ..lol....if your marketing guys are watching .send me one and I'll review and send back .

I bought this guitar thinking it would turn me into something like Michael Angelo Batio, it didn't. I immediately fucked up 3 strings because I couldn't figure out how to tune them on the Floyd rose bridge then went into guitar center looking nothing like Michael Angelo Batio.

Oh no! The Floyd has a locking nut so that you can tune the guitar with the fine tuners on the bottom of the tremolo machine.
