I saw him live last night..5th time..he could not be more amazing..I got to chat with the whole band..its such a blessing to have them play in town you live in..I actually called the venue and asked them to bring Sawyer back and a messaged his fb page and 2 days later they were on the schedule...I love this kid, amazing live..on fire last night like they were last year (Funky Bisquit, nov 5 2017) check out the vids..the person screaming in the background is me, I got carried away but they were able to edit alot out

This has to be one of the most under-appreciated performances Sawyer has done....Bravo...Bravo...I come back to this song daily because no one can capture real human emotion and struggle like Sawyer can.

I love the band and the power it gives him and I loved the Levon Helm gig but this is Sawyer at his best..Just him and his guitar. There will always be a kind of magic and emotional connection that is very special when it is just "The boy and his guitar." What an awesome instrument and gift for a truly deserving artist! What's the story on the guitar?

@@Wkd183 When Sawyer was on The Voice he started out playing his grandfather's old Gibson guitar. Later he said he'd gotten his dream guitar, a Ray LaMontagne custom, limited edition by Bourgeois Guitars. A year later a super fan from South Africa arranged for Bourgeois to build a custom guitar especially for Sawyer. His mom helped to find out what he wanted in a guitar without him knowing one was being made for him. It was presented to him on his 17th birthday as a surprise gift from of all of his fans (Team Sawyer). This video is of his first time playing it. I was talking to a man today who is a roofer, but he is also a minister, and he told me to know what I want and to persue it, both in secular work and in serving God. He said that the only time a person is struggling mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, is when they don't know what they want. Too bad the skill that I want to pursue and learn is to be a musician, and I can't make any money of that in these uncertain times.

It is very sad that the Voice doesn't help its winners as much as the other music shows. He could be one of the best Country sings around with his words and voice. To bad Blake was not his mentor.
