Sawyer, I fell for you & your voice when I saw you audition on the voice. Your folksy/blusey/soulful voice brings me back to some of the music from the 60's & 70's. It's so refreshing to hear you sing these songs against all the pop & big voices on the show. Those loud contestants get the attention b/c for some reason people seem to think the louder the singers voices are, the better singer they are. I like music I can relate to, understand the words, and that moves me. You definitely do that. Don't ever fall into that pop culture, it's been shoved down our throats for so many years people are brainwashed to think that is the only genre there is to do anymore. It's way past due for folk/blues/rock to come back & show this generation what real music sounds like. It's a shame you can't sing any of your originals on the show, but now that your name is out there it won't be long before everyone will hear your originals. Win or not young man, you are definitely going to put your stamp on the music scene. Can't wait to hear more about you & your music. What makes this special is the people talkin', cars rolling bye, being outside.....and....this raw, real voice rising above the noise and grabbing your ears as well as your heart. When I first heard you I was brought back to a time of my childhood (the 1960's) and how I heard another voice crying in the night....Bob Dylan. Sawyer your original songs are amazing. .I'm absorbing them slowly and I can't get them out of my head. .that's the sign of a star..the only thing is this one and not my girl are recorded with alot of distractions so it hard to focus on you. .short temper and why so blue were recorded in a different setting and its so easy to focus on you and your talent. .i wish all the songs were recorded in a similar setting. .it's not a negative comment because I think you're incredible.
