We have pretenders and we have contenders. I have watched many young aspiring singers who were very talented. But every so often someone comes along regardless of age and blows us away. Sawyer is one. He may be a teenager but he is an old soul. He wasn't even born when he sang these classics. But yet it felt like he lived it. Great job Sawyer!

Since I heard his blind audition I could tell this young man has already been to the 'crossroads' and signed a deal. It being an urban legend that at the proverbial crossroads waits the devil. Waiting to sign up raw talent for amazing careers. When I heard this 16 year old take "I am a man of constant sorrow", a bluegrass tune and transform it into a modern contemperary rock tune. When I heard hints of influence from Hank Sr.and John Denver in his voice and playing I knew this lad has met the man at the crossroads.
