The thing about the supers is that they're basically nerfed versions of their original forms, losing the boosts for a harder requirement only obtainable in the middle of the run and really only once per battle. While it is fast and has a long duration, the characters pause for the transforming animation, forcing you to use most of your boost playing catch-up.

Excellent video Sawyer, quite interesting and very useful. I think that in some boosts the duration is compensated by the speed (as is the case with Sonic).
