In this episode of Virtually Live from northern Minnesota's Sax-Zim Bog, Sparky takes us along on the Christmas Bird Count on December 18, 2023 and then on his fat biking BRRRRdathon in Grand Marais, Minnesota. Results of both events are shared.
Also some Pine Marten footage from Sax-Zim's Admiral Road feeders.

Nice video again Sparky. Over here we had New Year Bird Rally in the Oslo-area on Jan 1st. We ended on 83 species. And no cycling here...I had -30C the other day.

The first time I ever saw a Townsend's solitaire I was glassing for a mule deer buck while I overlooking a creek in North Central Wyoming. Should have saved myself the price of a non-resident deer tag and just bird watched.
