Hi Dr. Young. Thank you so much for this great explanation. What is your opinion on creating (or keeping) a flat chin? I've always prioritized this over the years but feel that maintaining this (especially when fatigued) has the potential to pull the corners backwards and create jaw/overall tension. Perhaps when the corners are in, the flat chin will simply be the result...maybe the only suggestion necessary (building on what you've already mentioned) would be to make sure the chin does not bunch upwards? This has been on my mind for a while and I would love your opinion!

ive been playing sax for 2 1/2 years and came back to this because of the fact that my embrochure is out of tune. i have it right but i squeak when i go below F# and and really out of tune when i go below the brake. this has just started happening do you have any advice

You need a high def microphone for those transition segments. And then emphasize the fidelity of the sound you're focusing on. I e. The zipper on the transition near 1:32

How much muscle strength do you need for the corners of your mouth? Is it right to fix the corners of my mouth and relax my lower jaw?

I heard an “oh” shaped embouchure helps. Is that true?

Yes, in so many words. "Oh" is just an illustration that forces the corners of the mouth to come in toward the center of the mouthpiece.

Can you develop a good tone on a Sax by just practicing with a mouthpiece and neck without the rest of the horn??

Playing with the mpc and neck is definitely something I do on a regular basis. I dont think you can develop a good sound with that alone, but yes, it can be a great tool!
