I got the iOptron iEAF just b/c it was on sale when I bought my 10" Newtonian. No prior experience with autofocusers, but really happy with this one. The manual buttons are a godsend, and I can't imagine running the Newt for AP without an autofocusers, given how sensitive it is to vibration.

I need to test this with my 6" newt. I feel your pain and the focuser was a big reason why I rarely use it. I'll test the iEAF with the newt at some point, should be much better.

No adapter for SCT installation?

Not at the moment, you'll have to get the ZWO SCT kit for that.

How much are you liking your 71f?
@Naztronomy4 ай бұрын
I'm loving it so far. Everything looks so crispy with it. I'm looking forward to the reducer that's coming out soon. If you haven't already watched, I did a first light review of the 71F here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH-7cqhqiaeFo6M Planning on doing another video once I get my hands on the reducer.

I didn't know they were planning a reducer, that's good to hear! I'm about to order the 71 with a 533mc, I think it's a good budget option.

Yea they're planning to release it late September. Use my referral link if you can ☺️

Will do! If my math is right the reducer will bring it close to 350mm?
@Naztronomy4 ай бұрын
367.5mm to be exact at f/5.18. Should be perfect with the 533mc.

Does this work with Astroberry? I imagine it would.

According to the documentation, the iEAF is ASCOM compatible which means it'll work with INDI and Astroberry. The ASCOM driver is on the iOptron website. I actually tried verifying before replying but my Raspberry Pi running Astroberry is dead so I couldn't physically confirm but I did double check the iOptron website and documentation. If you get to try it out, let me know how it works for you. Clear skies!
