Ikkaku is getting smoked with or without bankai at this point. Not only is it still broken (therefore completely useless) but it was never impressive to begin with. Back then he had to use it against a non-espada arrancar and barely made it out of that fight. Every Sternritter is captain level so he’s just out of his league.

@@kerbyshirlayreact It is among the weakest of Bankai's. Sure it looks cool but it takes too long to be effective. Ikkaku almost lost during the fight.
